Me and my friends found this place on instagram reels! Honestly, I try to tune out places I find on instagram because there’s so many -sponsored- reels/tiktoks and the place ends up being mid.
I had my reservations, but Da-Bang really caught my eye! We went a little earlier than opening, but the shop owner was so nice and let us sit and wait. we did looked at the menu and they offered a lot of variety. I really liked how they have a lot of sweet options but also savory stuff to.
We got the spicy tuna, seared salmon, bulgogi, and unagi tofu inari. GET THE SEARED SALMON. So so so GOOD. Spicy tuna was good, eel was super juicy. I find bulgogi in general to be more dry but this once didn’t bother me too much.
The strawberry matcha drink was okay, nothing special. My friend ordered it and she liked it! It was refreshing.
We got the flight and I believe it was the honey waffle, strawberry Oreo, and matcha affogato. My favorite was the Honey waffle! (Small suggestion, it’d be cool if you coud put a honey comb, even a small piece!)
Vibes were great, we were studying so we stayed for a few hours. Loved the atmosphere! Bathroom was clean!...
Read moreSo, I’m a regular here. This is genuinely my favorite cafe and I’m here multiple times a week. When my friends are in town I always bring them, and always recommend this place! Until I found out exactly how the baristas here feel about my friends…
There was an incident when a black guy came in trying to sell some AirPods, he was politely declined and likewise he politely left. We honestly didn’t think anything of it until the Baristas starting talking about the guy. Saying thing like he was shady, and probably a scammer and how they thought he was Jamaican because of his “sketchy” energy. They all said this LOUDLY and while looking at my friends and I (one friend is actually Jamaican).
This discussion is going on between a white girl and a young man.
It’s clearly inappropriate behavior, it’s not okay to behave in this way, let alone in front of customers. We are here for coffee, not your opinions on black people. Employees need some sensitivity training, and to learn some basic courtesy.
Again, I have a lot of love for this place and want to see it thrive. Hopefully they can educate their employees before a bad...
Read moreI ordered the basic cafe latte with no food items. The cashier did ask if the standard milk option was okay and offered milk alternatives. The coffee was good and well done but please note: if you're one that prefers slightly sweeter or less bitter items I advise asking for a pump of your preferred flavoring but the barista did advise that they are going to be changing their coffee beans in the future. The overall experience was chill with a relaxed environment, plenty of seating with good ambient music for studying and reading. You can see the prep area which is clean and well maintained. As a coffee drinker I believe the prices for a cafe are reasonable with an Americano being as little as $2.50 with the highest price drink being an iced drink for $6.50. They do also offer other drink options however I cannot speak to those as well as pastries and other sweet cake like items. For anyone who is more involved with their social media they do have an Instagram wall as well as good lighting for taking pictures...
