Good flavor and very big portions. Make sure to keep that in mind when ordering LOL Will definitely go back to try the other items from the menu.
Pet friendly - no. Family friendly - yes. Parking - yes, shared with surrounding businesses.
FOOD: Flaming Boar Burrito $11.50 (Spicy Korean BBQ Pork, pickled daikon, cilantro, basil, cabbage mix, spicy mayo, rice): Flavorful and a good combination with every bite. Two negative - the pork though flavorful lacked heat and the "stuffing" isn't evenly distributed such as there isn't any meat at the ends of the burrito (but this is an issue with all burritos I've eaten. I also ordered this version as a bowl ($11.50) and like a true Asian, I wanted more rice and less salad mix LOL
Crispy Chicky Burrito $11.75 (Crispy chicken katsu, sweet katsu sauce, chili lime dressing, cilantro, basil, cabbage salad mix, spicy mayo): The chicken katsu stayed crispy even bundled up with all the other ingredients. The combination of the katsu sauce and chili lime dressing is a good combo. The only thing to make this better is the evenly distribute the "stuffing."
The Kraken $12.50 (Fried cod, french fries, calamari, crab, pickled daikon, spicy mayo, cabbage mix, cilantro and basil): I did not have this but one of our friends ordered it. They really liked it and said the combo of the seafood went really well. The only thing to make this better is the evenly distribute the "stuffing."
Bulgogi fries $6.75 (crinkle cut fries covered with spicy aioli and bulgogi): This was probably the less favorite of all the things ordered. I love crinkle cut fries but there was a little too much aioli that it actually drown the bulgogi flavor. The bulgogi bits were just that, bits, like if its the remains of making bulgogi for the other menu items.
RESTAURANT/INTERIOR: There are TWO self service kiosk. Its hard to tell right away as the first kiosk is immediately stationed when you walk in so if there is someone at the kiosk, a line tends to form. The print out menu that is by the kiosk doesnt provide any description so if its your first time customer, make sure you go to the second kiosk as there is photo and description on the wall.
The seating area is simple, clean, and yet a little hipster with the glow lights and the gorilla design on the wall.
STAFF: There was only one person working the front of the house so he was very busy handling the phone as well as delivering the food to the customers. When our group did ask questions, he was very attentive and tried to be helpful with...
Read moreA small cozy spot for some Korean-style burritos that pack a punch.
I stopped by here on a summer afternoon to grab some lunch. It's located near the Hmart plaza so there is plenty of parking nearby. The restaurant itself is small and there's no bathroom available either. There are mostly picnic style benches inside for seating, otherwise takeout is your best option. You self-order on two tablets by the door. They will call your number when your order is ready. We ordered the Locosoba and Bulgorrito. Both were very thick and extremely packed burritos. It was full to the brim. It almost makes it hard to hold the burrito together so some utensils would be helpful. The Locosoba was filled with yakisoba noodles, korean BBQ beef, and veggies. Even though it had a combination of different flavors, I was still able to make out the individual ingredients and it was not too spicy. It's definitely more on the sweet side if anything because of the noodles. The Bulgorrito was also the same and very packed but more with beef bulgogi. I was still able to make out the individual ingredients. The burritos came with sides of lime slices and green chili pepper to help cleanse the palate. Overall both burritos were extremely filling and more than enough to satisfy even the hungriest.
There is a cool neon sign you can use to take pictures. You also bus your own trash when you are done. Overall even though it's a small place, the food packs a punch and more than carries its own weight. The staff are nice as well. Expect to spend about $10-15 per burrito, or you could even split one between two people. Definitely a unique food experience where it doesn't even feel like you're eating a burrito but a fusion...
Read moreI ordered 10 minutes before I arrived on the phone. Guy on the phone says it will take 8-10 minutes. I get there, says they’re working on it, I pay first. I’m waiting 10 minutes pass, then 15, then 20. Guy behind counter is working the kitchen and pulling tickets, orders are coming out doesn’t bother to call out names. Just mindlessly pulling tickets and disappearing behind the kitchen. I see that unless I go up and ask again, I’m going to be waiting forever. He asks my name, pulls up my order and asks me to pay again. Doesn’t believe that I paid, I have to show him my credit card transaction on the app. Then he goes to the counter where the food has been sitting probably the whole time. Then I realize he got the order wrong over the phone. How the hell do you confuse huli huli chicken with crispy chicky. They sound totally different. Says I have to wait another 10 minutes to make a new order. I’m fed up by that point and just take the wrong order. Sick of eating out…expensive and crappy service. If you’re going to use a kiosk to save on labor costs, at least keep your prices low. But greedy owners like most restaurant industry raise costs while cutting corners. If you order over phone or online, make sure you check in at the counter every time you see food containers being placed behind the counter because unless you ask, nobody...
