Today was my first time in with a recommendation from a friend. I came by myself and had no idea how the operations of this restaurant work. I asked a couple employees and they were very willing to help me through the system. They seated me at a bar seating in front of the conveyor belt. And explain to me with the overhead screen that I could order drinks and menu items from and I could also just take the small plates off the conveyor belt in front of me. When you are finished with your sushi plates you slide them in the opening just in front of you. You are charged individually for each plate. The other dishes you might accumulate you just leave on your table and they come by to pick them up. If you need Wasabi or anything extra I just had to ask. The sushi was very fresh and clean and nicely presented and easily recognized from the markings on the dishes with the names. There was a huge selection to choose from. Even a couple sides and cheesecake for dessert. You have fresh ginger and soy at your seat. The guard over the conveyor belt is just at the right height so you don't have to look at everyone else and then not looking at you. Also Fu Robots that roam around the restaurant not quite sure their responsibilities but they were fun to watch. I also ordered Ramen which came on a separate larger conveyor belt above and out of the way of the sushi bar. Being in a strip mall parking lot there is an extreme amount of parking and is easily accessed across from the Alderwood mall. I will definitely be back with friends and family more often. The sushi was a good price. The ramen is in a very small bowl so don't expect it to be a meal, but it tastes great. Definitely seems like a place you can bring...

The establishment was spotless, reflecting their commitment to hygiene and customer well-being. It's evident they take pride in maintaining a clean and inviting atmosphere, which certainly enhances the dining experience. And, if you pay attention to the little details, you might be amused to find their quirky offers, even in the restroom! It's touches like these that make Kura Sushi a unique and memorable place to visit.
I don't understand the bad reviews I occasionally see for this place. Our experience was nothing short of stellar, both in food quality and service. The staff was attentive and courteous, always ready to assist with any questions or recommendations. It's clear that they value their customers and strive to deliver an exceptional experience every time.
One of the most impressive aspects of Kura Sushi is their pricing. It's far less than some of the medium-priced sushi restaurants, yet the quality is on par, if not superior. It's rare to find such an outstanding balance of affordability and excellence in the sushi dining scene.
If I could give Kura Sushi ten stars, I absolutely would. It's a gem for sushi enthusiasts and casual diners alike. Highly recommended for anyone looking to enjoy a delightful sushi meal without...

Food review: Tantanmen (Spicy ramen) tender fatty pork and jammy egg was good, noodles were chewy, soup base has good flavor but super salty I put half a cup of ice water into mine to make the saltiness tolerable which may be sacrilege but it tasted better
Warabimochi (mochi dessert thing with roasted soybean flour) refreshing, not too sweet, chewy but dissolves in ur mouth. the mochi itself tastes like water jelly but sweet and the rest of the flavor comes from the roasted soybean flour (the flour tasted somewhat like roasted peanut)
Large fish egg and cucumber slice sushi: tasted like eating fish oil capsules with cucumber on rice i dont like it at all
Vanilla ice cream: a little too sweet, taste and texture is like the soft serve from mcdonalds
Umami oil salmon: the little amount of sesame oil and green onion overpowers the salmon i dont like it
Salmon: delicate taste and texture, melts in ur mouth, my favorite
Sockeye salmon: less melty than regular salmon, also a slightly bitter(?) aftertaste
Fried takoyaki: just tastes like those frozen fish balls you get at the asian supermarket but its hot and the inside is gooey instead of solid and chewy. Theres small pieces of octopus in there which are chewy but what makes the round ball shape is some kind of dough paste.
Edamame: It’s edamame i love edamame
Mochi ice cream (matcha) matcha ice cream was delicious, the mochi skin was also matcha and...
