This review is for this store and not David’s Bridal as a whole. For the record, my issue isn’t with the stylist I was paired with or the store manager. It’s with literally every other person that “helped” me that day and every person I spoke with between April 12th and May 13th.
My appointment date was on April 12th. I booked it a few weeks in advance and I told them ahead of time that the bride wanted my dress to be in chiffon and in the color wine.
I was paired with a stylist that had only started working there two weeks prior and unbeknownst to her, she was booked with me and someone else at the same time. She was really trying her best to help me and the other woman but it was incredibly obvious that she was overwhelmed and struggling especially since it was a Saturday (they were busy).
I came to my appointment knowing what styles I wanted to try on and it turned out that the store did not have more than half the styles I wanted to try nor did they have my size in similar chiffon dresses.
Other stylists came and tried to “help” her but either they were trying to sabotage her success that day or they don’t know how to follow instructions because they came back with dresses not in chiffon and in sizes way too small for me to try on.
Finally we find a dress I like in chiffon but two sizes too small. Frustrated by the entire experience, needing a dress, and the dress technically fitting me (although ill), I order the dress anyways (I take responsibility for this fault).
When I walk up to the register, I ask them when the dress will arrive if I order through them and they tell me “any time over the weekend or by the first week of May”. I ask if I could pay to expedite it and they said “it more than likely will come by April 14th”. And for some reason, I trusted that statement.
So every week I called and asked where my dress was and they kept saying “it’ll be here in a few days” and that they’ll call me when it arrived so I can choose to either pick it up or have it shipped to my home in Kitsap.
On May 4th I call and they tell me that it’ll arrive that week. I waited for a phone call and voicemail, but nothing came. So I text the David’s Bridal customer service line on May 11th and they tell me that the dress arrived via UPS on May 7th. I call the store on May 12th and whoever I get in touch with tells me that it’s not there and it should arrive on May 10th. It’s literally May 12th.
I text the customer service line again and they told me to speak with the store manager. I speak with the store manager and miraculously they found the dress! It did in fact arrive on May 7th.
So I came in today (May 13th) to try on the dress. It took them ten minutes to find it. Then of course when I go to try it on, it is in fact ill fitting. So I ended up returning the dress.
In summary, with the exception of my stylist, who was really sweet, and the store manager who took their time to locate my dress, my entire experience at this David’s Bridal, SUCKED.
The lack of communication, organization and competency is absolutely insane. If my stylist wasn’t double booked, I’m sure she could have given me actual advice and say “you might actually want to order in your size because x, y, and z”. Had she been given time to get used to her new position, she probably would have performed better at her job that day. Instead it felt like she was thrown into shark infested waters.
I was lied to repeatedly. The only truth was that my dress did in fact arrive the first week of May.
What was supposed to be a fun time finding a maid of honor dress for my best friend’s wedding, turned into one of the worst experiences in customer service I’ve ever witnessed. I’m never coming back here for...
Read moreIf I could give 0 stars, I would. I made an appointment for my sister and her bridal party here , there was 7 of us total and I scheduled this appointment a month in advance. When we arrived, it was very unorganized and our bridal consultant was bringing my sister dresses that were $800 over her budget. Fast forward to all of the bridesmaids trying on dresses, my sister asked the bridal consultant multiple times if all the dresses we chose came in their color plum and she said over and over that they all in fact did come in that color. 2 of the bridesmaids ordered their dresses at the store but wanted them delivered to their houses (which we were told was no problem) we leave the store and I go to order my dress online and the dress I chose was actually NOT available in the plum color like we were told. I call the store and the manager sends me a dress that is similar to the one I chose, I ended up ordering that dress and was told it would arrive to my sisters house WITH her gown a few weeks later. A few weeks later goes by and my sisters dress arrives WITHOUT the garment bag she paid for and WITHOUT my dress. So we call them again and they say the garment bag was out of stock in the color she chose (okay, so were they going to call and let her know or just not give her something she paid for?) her dress was supposed to arrive in the garment bag. They then say my dress will now not arrive until the end of April when my sisters wedding is in May. All they told me was “well that’s plenty of time to do alterations” even if it was, it is beside the point, this dress is now delayed by a month and this isn’t even a dress I have actually tried on. we then get told that 2 of the bridesmaids dresses had arrived to the store but they didn’t know what address to send them to, mind you, these were the bridesmaids that ordered them AT THE STORE. So clearly the staff didn’t put their addresses in when they ordered the dresses with them. Now, let’s move on to the men’s ties we were going to order, told it would take 9 weeks, yes 9 weeks to get ties, when we asked if they had faster shipping options we could pay for, a staff member said “you should’ve have a second option” with an attitude. I can’t believe how careless this place is when people are spending a lot of money here and are expecting to have a great bridal experience. This whole place is so unorganized and chaotic that I wouldn’t recommend it to my worst enemy. Save your money and go...
Read moreI had an appointment over this last weekend. I've never been one to write reviews especially poor one's as I work in the fashion retail community. Unfortunately I had the worst experience I've ever had here at this location. I was early for my appointment and was not taken back to talk with a stylist until 20 after my appointment was supposed to start. She didn't ask a lot of questions or offered to help with what I was looking for. She said she would pull the dresses my mom and I picked out, then disappeared for about 15 minutes. Eventually had to find her in the corner of the shop talking to other stylists and had to flag her down. She would only give me her attention for a few seconds and take off and I couldn't find her again. I wanted to ask many questions but never got to. I really didn't feel special. When we did get to the fitting room she wasn't helpful with getting me into any of the dresses and didn't use the clips or as many, so it really made it hard to see the dress or even try to move without the whole thing falling down in the middle of the store. There was another stylist that gave her advice and trying to help me in the dress and do then clips correctly and the stylist that I had completely waved her off and refused to take constructive advice. I only got to see 3 of the 6 I wanted to try on. At first I thought they could only bring three back at a time, which was understandable and the others we picked out i thought were off to the side somewhere. After the first three I was getting frustrated with the experience and the stylist really wasn't talking to me or being helpful even a little rude. When I asked where the other three where she just redirected the conversation and said there were others she wanted to pull for me instead? She brought back some more and they were the complete opposite of what we had tried on and partially discussed. At that point I was just so unhappy with the service and unfortunately will not try David's bridal again. I don't think the company itself is bad, maybe it was just my particular experience with the stylist I had. Ultimately just ruined this...
