So we paid quite a premium for this we use some of our Best Western points rooms were dated felt old there was mold on the window we stayed here for over I believe it's 4 days basically a long weekend to look for a office for my fiance's business and we're quite disappointed the breakfast was nice the employees were all very kind My fiance has whatever the highest level best Western rewards is so we have a late check out but the day that we were checking out this was just another separate incident we came back to the room to discover that there was five cleaning people in it basically going through our stuff we had informed the front desk that we were staying in for our late check out which is our priority with our so it was a 1:00 check out this was at 11:30 a.m. and it was disturbing if not shocking that there was so many people in the room and they were basically tossing our stuff through and we didn't come up with anything missing but I think it was just because we interrupted in the middle of it but I'm not necessarily inferring that anybody on the cleaning staff would have done that I think they were more overwhelmed with the amount of stuff that was left behind thinking that we were checking out and we were checking out at the checkout time which is 11:00 but besides that the rooms weren't very impressive they're suitable they have in the upgraded king rooms there's a semi functional kitchen space whereas with a microwave and I'm toaster and a coffee maker you could put something together and their breakfast is okay it's nothing to ride home about it's no better or worse than any of the other Best Westerns they're pool area is really dated and their hot tub is closed the main pool was open the gym is almost scary it's dark dingy and in a basement without any natural light or windows which maybe some people prefer but my fiance felt unsafe working out in there the parking lot didn't seem to have any issues other than there would be a lot of traveling construction workers with big rigs that would park across 10 or 15 spots forcing us to park in the far back of the lot which didn't seem safe to leave our car and truck unattended but we had to based on what was left to us as far as parking and the elevator is incredibly slow and old and the stairways and carpet and everything else just feels like it's straight 80s dingy motel feel rather than what I come to expect from some of the more updated Best Westerns and I don't mean to be hard on them because the people that work there really try really hard to make with what they've got and they seem to be doing decently as far as their efforts are concerned but there's a lot lacking unfortunately I haven't had a real good experience with Best Westerns in Washington state so I think we'll be changing...
Read moreRead all: GM's response is the best. I WOULD NOT STAY at the Best Western Alderwood in Lynnwood, WA again beacause the staff and maintenance people weren't helpful. We were in room 193. First off the pool was outside the window. That was better than we thought. The room came equipped with gnats. They were aware of this issue and waited until 9am on Monday to see if this issued cleared up or not. Then the worst part of all, is that the floor above us creeked so much when the guest walked or jumped on it. It was unbearable. It was one of those nails on a chalkboared type sound. The first night we dealt with it. The second night I went to the desk at 11:30pm and complained. Wanted her to come listen to the Hoorrific noise but she wasn't interested in doing so. She told me me to wait it out awhile as they just checked in upstairs. We knew that. They checked in around 10:15pm, 12:15am they were in bed and they were up again by 7a. Two nights of no sleep. I paid over 200 to stay in a hotel that I couldn't sleep in. As my 16 old Daughter said, "would have stayed at a Motel 6 for 1/2 that price and got just as much if not more sleep. I have always slept better than this at Motel 6" Nobody cared. When I left nobody asked me how my stay was or even apologized for the fact that I had a problem the night befoe. Today I went on to look at BW hotels and found this on Alderwoods site: We are upgrading to serve you better. Due to renovations, no 1st floor or pet-friendly rooms will be available through July 15, 2014. We apologize for any inconvenience. This was at 7:53 am on 7/8/2014. I don't know how long that had been on their site. I am not happy or impressed! I feel like I was taken advantage of. They knew they had issue BUT put us in the room anyways. This is no way to do business!! I am EXTREMLY Disappointed.!! GM's Response Thank you for completing the survey regarding your recent stay at our property.
On behalf of our entire team, I would like to apologize for not exceeding your expectations. Your satisfaction is important to us and we will be using the feedback you gave us to implement improvements to ensure we offer a better experience for guests in the future.

Read more2021 - Stayed again for a 1 night stay for a conference - another solid visit to the Best Western in Lynnwood. Clean, comfortable and quick service at the front desk. I will keep coming back! New pics of a room with a kitchenette are attached (Rm 495)!
2018 Another great stay for a conference at the Convention Center. No Upgrade this time to the suite, but the regular rooms are nice also, clean and well kept up. I was in 394 this visit. Beds are comfortable and I always sleep well here. Parking this time did not seem to be as hard to find as last time, and it is close enough to walk to the convention center so you avoid the parking issues there. Service as always was good. Morning breakfast is sufficient with a few hot items that varied on my two mornings - nice to not have the same exact thing if you are staying multiple days. I would stay here again in the future.
2017 - I recently utilized Best Western's program where they will match your loyalty status at another hotel chain. I am typically a Hilton hotel brands traveler and have earned upgraded status there. However I haven't been able to get very good rates recently with them compared to the past so I started looking at other brands for this conference visit. Best Western had good rates and I saw that they will match loyalty levels so I gave it a try. The form was easy to fill out and submit - less than 24 hours later I was a Gold member with Best Western. I booked my reservation on the spot. I arrived in the evening on my first day and was told I was upgraded to a suite. Front desk was efficient and friendly. I went up to my room (#311) and was surprised at how roomy and bright it was. Nice furnishings. The first room you entered had a full bath with a separate vanity area, a sitting area with TV / Desk / Microwave and fridge. The second area (no door separation so not a separate room really) had a bed, bench, TV & Dresser, and and closet. The bedroom area also had a full bath with separate vanity as well. It was a really nice surprise. I slept very well - nice comfortable bed and quiet hotel overall. Breakfast was included and had hot items as well as cereals and waffles. Nice coffee bar area too. Checkout was a breeze and I was sad to leave my nice big room! Best Western may have gotten a new loyal customer! Already have visited another...
