TLDR: Excellent service, great work, very helpful, highly recommend! I will be a returning customer. :)
I bought a pre-built gaming PC back in 2021. In 2023, I had some parts upgraded by a different computer repair business. However, I encountered several issues with my PC after I had taken my PC back 3 times. Eventually, I lived with the audio lag and screen tearing, finding work arounds with faulty USB ports.
Eventually, the wear and tear was too much, and I was down to two USB ports and using just the graphics card HDMI port. I took my PC into Tech Security USA and Sally was extremely helpful. She plugged my computer in with me there and saw it worked, then examined the motherboard installation after I explained my issues. She told me it was damaged and not installed properly.
I went in anticipating needing a new motherboard, but then found out my parts were no longer compatible with the newer motherboards. I ended up having everything replaced except my CPU and case. I chose to leave my PC with them while they ordered parts. Next time, I would definitely keep my PC since it still worked, and then have brought it back once parts were in (it was about 22 days, including weekends until I got my PC back the first time).
I called a few times to ask for updates since I was a little eager to get my PC back. They were honest and offered time frames as well as ETA's for expected delivery of parts.
Once all the parts arrived, it took 24 hours for them to put it together. I came to pick it up, and I took it home. But, I couldn't bypass the Windows password prompt because it wouldn't allow me to connect to the internet. I ended up taking it back same day and agreed to have my PC wiped and Windows reinstalled so they could update the drivers and whatnot. I had anticipated this happening, so all my documents were backed up in my Google Drive account. I highly recommend doing that before upgrading parts or dropping off your computer/device because you never know what could happen!
Anyways, my PC was ready the next day, and I picked it back up (day number 23). Before I left, they tested it to ensure it was working properly. When I brought it home I did have the issue of the ethernet connection driver not being detected (ie. no ethernet connection despite being plugged in, but Wi-Fi working). I went to the manufacturing website for my motherboard and downloaded the LAN drivers for it. That fixed my issue. Note: my motherboard came with WiFi connection, so I was able to access the internet through the WiFi.
Overall, I am very happy with the service and Sally's help. She was so easy to work with and explained everything well to me. I paid mostly for parts. I think the labor was $350. I did leave an additional tip because they were so nice and helpful. This was such a great experience and made me far less anxious after my previous experience with another business. I will definitely be a returning customer!
If you need PC help, gaming upgrades, ect. I highly recommend coming here! Just maybe don't leave your PC if it's still useable and drop it off when...
Read moreHad my Samsung phone repaired here, so I can't speak to their products/services separate from phone repair.
My phone had taken a tumble, and received a dent to the aluminum bezel around the screen, which was depressing the power button permanently. This made it impossible to click the power button since it was always "clicked in". The power button doubles as a fingerprint scanner which still worked fine.
I shopped around a few places and this was the first place that was willing to repair the damaged bezel without replacing the button (which wasn't broken). Every other place said they had to replace the button too, and some even said they would replace the button but couldn't fix the bezel (which wouldn't have solved the problem!).
The cheapest quote I got elsewhere was $75 for a new button, PLUS labor cost. These guys gave me a $45 estimate on the repair, since it was just labor (no button replacement). The final cost ended up as $55 plus tax, so I guess it ended up being more difficult than expected.
I dropped it off in the morning and picked it up the next day a little before the shop closed, so I'd estimate around 30 hours from drop off to pick up.
The staff was very friendly, and knew what they were talking about, which was a bit of a breath of fresh air, after some of the other repair shops I tried to explain my problem to.
The price was great, so I can't imagine they make much money from phone repair. The shop was mostly empty both times I went there, could be because I went at open and close, could be covid, who knows. Either way, it's nice to be somewhere that's not so crowded because it means prompt service and no lines.
Hands down, this will be the first place I stop next time I have a...
Read moreHad to take my PC in over the holiday as it wouldn't start up and the motherboard and processor were 6 or 7 years old so it was past time. They repaired as quickly as they were able to (given the holiday chaos and the delays on shipping parts) and were very pleasant to work with. Once I got the pc home, it would start up again, (even though it had worked fine in the shop) and I contacted them about it; they told me to bring it back in and we went over a number of possibilities in the shop. Of course, as soon as I had it there, it worked properly every time we tried rebooting it. I was unable to replicate the problem, but they even lent me an HDMI cable to test on a monitor when I got back home. Once I got the pc home again it worked fine. They were consistently patient and friendly, and I recommend them if you are having...
