Ok, I'll admit it... For a long time, I avoided Mod Pizza, because I lived my whole life with classic pizza places (Godfather's, Alfy's, Round Table, and various mom-n-pop places), and just didn't feel a 'make it quick, lots 'o weird toppings' kind of place was for me...including having TRIED Mod...
However, once I actually LOOKED at what they did, and intentionally jumped off the rails, I've become a convert.
Pizza is expensive (heck, most everything is, these days), so while you will spend more overall at Mod with multiple people (depending on your normal pizza orders), there's something to say about EVERYONE getting EXACTLY the pizza they want.
Add on to that the bottomless drinks (the Marionberry Lemonade especially), and generally cheerful staff, it's pretty tough to dislike Mod Pizza, where your pizza is baked in an OVEN, not some conveyor belt machine, and to-go means you get a pizza-size box, but if you dine-in, they have smaller left-over boxes out and ready to grab...
If you go, and think OUTSIDE the pre-built pizza stylings, and build how you WANT, you'll find yourself realizing this is how you REALLY want a...
Read moreWell first of all let me say that the workers here get five stars. They're busier than any restaurant in the area. They have signs on a few tables in order for them to place the orders on the tables in alphabetical order by last name. So that's pretty cool. I ate their pizza at a party last week and it was great. The idea that for $9 you could make up whatever kind of pizza you wanted with all of the toppings, for the same price is great. The guy who was putting the pizza in the oven and taking them out was killing it! He was on top of everything. The unfortunate part was 1.) The online system gives you a time to pick up your pizza which was about 30 minutes off. 2. When we got the pizzas they were burnt to a crisp and so was the roasted garlic, I mean not edible: black and burnt. I'll try this place again I suppose, but only because I had them at a birthday party days ago and they...
Read moreOne of the worst restaurants experiences that I have had in a while. We ordered online at 9:21. We arrived at 9:30 and parked in the designated pick up area and called in our arrival. The order confirmation promised our order would be ready by 9:36. I called back at 9:59 to check on it at which point somebody brought out our two pizzas and said, "here" and walked away. As we were on our way back home we noticed one pizza was not the one we ordered and both were cold. The way we were treated and the service we received suggested that we did something wrong, and for a bit I felt that maybe we did. Maybe we forgot to tip (nope, we did), maybe we were supposed to go inside? Or maybe, because of all the good experiences we've had at Mod Pizza, it made this one feel so disappointing. I don't know. Normally we receive great service and food and we will continue to go just not at...
