Foundations Yoga is a very special place. While the studio itself is beautifully inviting and peaceful, it is the owner, Sandy, and other instructors that are there to guide you in your practice that are truly the heart of Foundations. I initially began practicing yoga about a year ago. At age 53 it was a little intimidating to walk into a yoga studio for the first time, however, my anxiety was immediately alleviated through the warmth and gentle encouragement of Sandy and her instructors.Ā Through their guidance, I have been able to experience so many of the benefits of yoga, that yoga has become an integral part of my life.Ā And even though the studio has temporarily moved to an on-line format, the quality of instruction and the personal connection feel as strong as ever.Ā Even on-line Reiki, something I thought wasnāt possible at a distance, I have now tried twice and have had amazing post-Reiki experiences.Ā And while I canāt wait to get back into the beautiful studio to practice, I am grateful that the exceptional people at Foundations are able to continue to effectively guide me in my practice regardless of...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI have been going to foundations of Yoga for the last... almost 3 years now. I started with Sandy in her Chatham studio and now I am here in her Madison studio. The staff is warm and friendly and Sandy always makes you feel welcome. I have always enjoyed every class I have taken at foundations. I never had a bad experience. The instructors are warm, friendly , knowledgeable and always accommodating to all who participate. So I will let that speak for itself. Also the store itself has things that can be purchased at a reasonable price to enhance your knowledge of Yoga as well. Sandy puts a lot of thought and effort into her business and that shows. I feel very fortunate that I was able to find such a studio in my hometown. Anyone who is looking for that extra something, you may want to come and try yoga. The cost is very reasonable and money...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI retired 2 years ago and was looking for a physical exercise that would help me keep in shape, not get injured and be able to incorporate into my life for long term. I have found that exact combination and more at Foundations Yoga and Therapy. Since joining yoga my sciatica is gone, my hip pain has greatly improved and I am much more flexible than when I started. It is also encouraging to see people older and younger than myself in the classes all working on strength, balance and flexibility. As Sandy and Jeanie say Yoga is your own practice. Everyone is at different stages in their practice and I appreciate that it truly is a judgement free zone. Thank you Sandy for creating this space where we can all improve and feel comfortable at...
