La Cusqueñita Peruvian Grocery — Local services in Manchester

I have many good things to say about La Cusqueñita, but will keep this review short and sweet. This is the type of family-owned business that should be modeled upon. The owner and her family go above and beyond to provide excellent customer service to their customers, which keeps me coming back. Yes, you may find similar Peruvian produce at other Latin markets, but shopping at La Cusqueñita is like shopping back in Peru, where shop owners are attentive and know you by your name.

Recently, I went shopping for Peruvian groceries for a special event and shared some ideas with one of the owners, who put me in contact with another person that could help me create a special sign that I wanted to use to make the event extra special.

Not only have I had a good experience, but friends who I recommend to La Cusqueñita have only had good things to say about the owner and her family.

Great variety of Peruvian products. I make lots of tea and they had great herbs- muña, cat’s claw, chamomile, spearmint. Cheaper and much healthier than buying bagged tea. They have other healthful items like quinoa, amaranth, beans, etc. Lots of spices and different types of peppers to use in your marinades. My kids loved their sweet selections. They even carry frozen fruits like lucuma, passion fruit, chirimoya - so delicious if you haven’t tried it!!! The store clerk was very helpful and will even package and mail it if you need it shipped out of state. She was so fast getting all the orders ready while taking care of customers in the store. La cusqueñita Es una de las mejores tiendas con productos peruanos que he visitado en Connecticut, está dentro del Manchester Mall shopping center al lado de la tienda de antigüedades; tienen una gran variedad y los precios son muy buenos. Venden la inca Kola de tapa azul como en Perú, tienen una gran variedad de panteones, leches de marcas peruanas, galletas, dulces. También hay una área de congelados donde encontramos papa amarilla, olluco, rocoto, ají amarillo, choclo, huacatay. En los condimentos pudimos encontrar ají mirasol, sillao, vinagre como los de Perú.
