I, along with all my bridesmaids and loved ones, cannot recommend Upstyle and its team more. Before my day with Upstyle’s team, I had never walked away from a hair and makeup appointment feeling beautiful or even satisfied with how I look. But that all changed when I did my extensive research and asked Upstyle to be a part of my wedding day. I teared up immediately when I saw how I looked on my special day—all thanks to the Upstyle team. I had never felt more beautiful (while still feeling like myself) after getting my hair and makeup done.

It is not uncommon for Asian brides to have doubts about how they will look after makeup, but I want everyone to know that Jessica’s talent knows no bounds. She understood my vision and made me look exactly how I wanted to look and (somehow using her magic) more. There really aren’t enough words to describe the immense joy (and relief) I felt after being in Jessica’s chair.

I also got beyond lucky to have worked with Jessie. I had asked for changes to my updo after my trial, and she worked with me throughout the entire morning of my wedding to make sure I got exactly what I wanted. Just like Jessica, she understood my vision right away. She made me feel so incredibly comfortable, really listened to what I was looking for, and was invested (as if she were me) in how happy I was on my wedding day.

There is no question that they are the best in the game. What is also worth noting is how fun and warm they are to everyone in the room. Even though it was my second time meeting them (first time was during my trial), it was as if I asked two of my super close friends to help me do my hair and makeup. Jessica and Jessie used their charm and wit to even communicate with my non-English speaking mother to give her exactly what she wants. That’s how fantastic they are as people and as artists. People say they feel the wedding blues after everything is over; I do too, of course, but what contributes to those blues is how much I miss them.

These girls are the real deal. Professional, kind, genuine, funny, and relaxed — the exact vibes you want on your wedding day when there are so many variables at play. I never once worried about them being on time, or whether or not I would like my look. I wanted whimsical, boho, classic, effortless, and elegant — and they delivered that and so much more! I sent the Upstyle gals a few inspiration photos that described the overall look and feeling of my wedding day before the trial and they immediately nailed my vision in one try. Even more importantly, they helped make my “getting ready” process so relaxing and enjoyable. We listened to chill music, took deep breaths, and I felt so grounded, present, and had so much fun getting ready. As someone who is easily prone to anxiety, you couldn’t ask for a more relaxed and genuine crew to pamper you on your big day. My mother had never had her hair and makeup professionally styled, and the Upstyle girls took their time to insure she was comfortable and completely happy with her look. She looked absolutely radiant and so young and beautiful, and is beyond thrilled with the photos.

One of my favorite moments was the first look with my husband. Like many guys, he prefers a simpler look with little to no makeup and was worried that I might not look like myself on our big day. The moment he saw me he said with a big smile on his face, “You look like YOU.” We both visibly relaxed and our photos came out better than I ever could have imagined.

Upstyle’s brand really spoke to me when I was looking for a minimalistic, natural looking hair and makeup for my wedding day. They are the definition of simple, clean, natural beauty experts! I worked with Savannah and Sophie at Upstyle and I cannot rave about them enough!! They are SO talented it is crazy!

Savannah is a makeup genius and knows exactly how to make my features pop without looking like I had too much makeup on. She nailed it at my makeup trial because she knew the vision that I was going for which was clean and minimal with natural/nude palate colors. She even gave me a makeup touch up kit for wedding day after she left (which was VERY useful and came in handy!).

Sophie is a hair goddess and also nailed the exact style of my hair at my trial and really made sure my hair wasn’t going anywhere on my wedding day! (Dancing, wind, everything in between) my hair stayed nice and secured! She helped me put my veil in before I left for my first look so I didn’t mess up my hair. She also gave me extra Bobby pins as well for the just in case moments which really helped!

These girls are also SO nice and make a great conversation too! I thoroughly enjoyed having them as a part of my big day and my bridal party adored them as well! They turned me into the bride of my dreams! Everyone could not stop complimenting me on my hair and makeup, I felt like a million bucks!
