The dressing rooms where closed. I understand most businesses are understaffed. However an associate who wasnât working with any customers or at the registers refused to allow us/anyone to use the changing room. Even when they were standing close by.
Saying âshe didnât have to so she wasnât going toâ.
Therefore we had to try clothes on over our clothes making it really awkward for us and others. They just told customers to purchase everything and bring it back if it didnât fit. But Itâs a clothing store. Dressing rooms are a necessity. If I buy $300 in clothes to try on at home and misplace the receipt then Iâm stuck with clothes that donât even fit. So I put back a ton of clothes that I wasnât able to try on over the stuff I was wearing.
It was completely preventable. They could of allowed the customers that had multiple items through or 1 at a time. All the dressing room attendant does is count your clothes and hand you a number. 90% of the time when Iâm done the attendant isnât even there when I leave the dressing rooms. So I really believe they could of made exceptions for the few customers that truly needed them. 1 sick employee should not have drastic effects on the entire store especially of that size. Considering there was still over 6 employees in the store. Only 3 weâre on registers.
Because of this and the rudeness from a particular employee we wonât be back to this particular TJ maxx anytime soon. I hope corporate sees my comment and pushes for some...
Read moreI will keep my five star review as I love this store and up til today had wonderful service but have to say the older woman with the dark hair that assisted me on register 1 at 3:20 today was very rude. I admit I was in a hurry had already waited in line and when she finally came up to assist the other cashier I was ready to hurry up and leave the store. She asked if I wanted a tjmaxx credit card which I replied no thank you politely as I do every time and no I do not care about the discount for opening one especially since I only had one item. She then proceeded with would you like to donate ...and yes I interrupted with yet again no thank you and very politely because I do not have extra money at this time no matter the charity. I immediately was given the dirtiest look and told you didn't even let me tell you what it was. I apologized and explained that I had to get to work and I didn't have money to donate. I was polite and said no thank and apologized when I shouldn't have had to explain myself all so I could deal with her attitude. I told her thank you and have a nice afternoon at the end of transaction and did I get the same...NOPE nothing. Sorry but she is rude, has no right to shame or judge people and let's not forget far from efficient. I have shopped here since opening and never have dealt with such a poorly mannered...
Read moreReally awful and rude employees, especially the woman who said she used to work with children at Bromley, all while being rude to our group of mothers and children that were trying to pick out toys. She hovered and bad mouthed us to others, while telling the kids they were taking too long. These were well mannered children and we put everything back in its place while looking. Iâve never once had a bad experience at any other TJX store in any state, but this woman was awful and I feel badly for children sheâs worked with in the past. The second star is for the one cashier who was nice. Too small of a store to be worth the ill treatment. T.J. Maxx is a family store, if you want to be snooty find a higher end retailer...
