My daughter, her two friends, their mothers and myself shopped at this store in Manchester on Saturday. We drove over 2.5 hours to experience prom dress shopping with our girls. After finding a few dresses and trying them on, the girls decided to think about things over lunch at a nearby restaurant. After some deliberation, the girls decided they wanted to head back to Windsor to try on a few more and make a final decision. While we were there the second time, they quickly found the ones they wanted, stood in line again and tried on more prom dresses. We were quickly caught off guard when a worker shouted, “Excuse me, everyone needs to quiet down, you are too loud and can be heard from the front of the store, remember this isn’t a playground!” I was horrified that a sales representative would shout this out in the fitting room. I’d like to clarify that our daughters are all over the age of 17, so they are clearly not young rowdy obnoxious children. The other mothers and myself are also educated women who have values and class. I quickly stated that her comment was extremely rude. She became combative and I had to explain that insinuating that we were acting as if we were at a playground was degrading and insulting. She walked away and the girls continued trying on dresses. However as you know, each dress fits a little different. There was a fitting room attendant present; however, she never offered any help changing out sizes or taking any of the dresses that did not fit. Instead, she made sure to scold myself and the other moms about not bringing any more dresses back because it wasn’t fair to the customers waiting in line. At this point I was irate with the customer service in this store. I guess it wasn’t an issue when other girls were trying on dresses and we had to wait our turn in line? In short, we spent quite a bit of money in this store on dresses for our daughters and in turn we were treated very poorly. We very well could have shopped online this year, but everyone knows shopping for something like this is an experience that creates memories. Your staff needs a lesson on kindness and treating customers with respect. From reading other reviews, it sounds like this is a reoccurring pattern. We will not be back and will also be sure to discourage others from shopping...
Read moreWhen I walked into this elegant boutique I was greeted by the smiles and welcomes of the kind employees who complimented my outfit. I felt so welcomed into this environment and it was like... I could ask of any assistance and be met with regard like that of a chic Parisian Queen before the be-headings were commonplace! The environment was so appealing to the iris of mine. It was very well kept, neat, and organized with every item being lines up along those luminous white walls. It was as if they were calling my name and wanted to join the rest of my wardrobe, Though this may be because my family has a history with schizophrenia.
After browsing the store I came to find a very very stunning evening gown perfect for the quaint event I was planning to attend. But, one foul issue graced my presence... this dress was too big! I was just so petite and I felt embarrassed as the XS dress kept slipping off of me in the changing room. As I wallowed in my sorrow I was met with the kind comfort of an employee who inquired of my adversity at that moment. She thoroughly explained away and told me how an XXS dresses were such an uncommon size of garment for them to carry instore similar to how many jeans only come in a single length. But she quickly directed me to the store website containing even more gowns that I was not accustomed to inside the store. She also showed me how to filter to find my size and I was able to find the exact dress I wanted instore in an XXS.... This location saved me, truly! Fortunately I was very proactive and decided to go shopping weeks prior to my event allowing me ample time for the order to arrive... WINSOR YOU HAVE MY THANKS
-In conclusion I hope every vivant customer finds this vivant store to be as pleasing as I...
Read moreRecently a friend and I shopped at this Windsor location. The customer service is normally mediocre here. We don’t expect above and beyond service here, however during this visit we received the worst customer service I have ever experienced (and this is coming from someone who has worked retail before). We went in to do a return. The item still had the tag and we had the receipt, but the tag was not attached to the article of clothing. The assistant manager was helping us with this return. We were told because the tag had fallen off, it was “worn” and non-returnable. I understand if this is the Windsor policy, however I have returned items here without a tag with no issue. It’s not fair to the customer to have an inconsistent return policy. We tried to negotiate with store credit or an exchange and was still denied anything be done. Again, if this is policy, understandable. What made the whole situation a big deal was how the assistant manager was snarky and unprofessional. She was not friendly towards us at all, and she looked as if she could care less about being there. She didn’t even seem apologetic towards the fact there was nothing she could do. She practically threw the clothing item back to us and offered us a bag with an annoyed look on her face. If I were the store manager here, I would be embarrassed to have such a person like this in a management position. Unfortunately I will not be returning to this location to shop because of how mistreated I felt. I suggest working on customer service skills if you want to be able to keep...
