Rude employees = major turn off. My parents just moved to Manhattan Beach and have an entire waterfront house to decorate in Coastal decor. Being in the interior design world, I was confident that this design service/home goods spot would be the way to go so I took my mom and sister to this store over others.
The second we walked in, the middle aged blonde at the counter turned her back to us and proceeded to ignore us for the entire 15 minutes we were in the store. No "hello" no "welcome in" no "let me know if I can help you" not a word the entire time we were there, and we were the only people in the store until the very very end when it seemed someone she knew walked in.
It was so noticeable that she thought we were just window shoppers and couldn't be bothered to even say hi or look at us. I surely wouldn't be wanting this type of attitude from an interior designer whom you spend years working with and pay thousands and thousands of dollars to. I am incredibly disappointed as it wasn't a very nice welcome to the neighborhood.
Take your business somewhere else, they clearly don't care and you won't receive the help you need or deserve. If the woman who was working isn't the owner, I would be mortified to have this attitude at my store, especially since she just cost me a very large sale. And as a business owner myself, this type of "service" surely isn't helping small businesses...
Read moreWell, the items are nice enough and at varying prices... but the costumer service is very unfortunate. I'm not sure if my casual attire had anything to do with my experience (reeboks, jeans, and a track jacket), but I was very ignored during my time in the shop. I waited in line to pay for some holiday stone coasters and had been looking at ornaments, it wasn't until after the sales woman had rung me up that she says to another costumer "all holiday items are 25% off!" So I pipe up with excitement and say "oh, I'll go ahead and grab a few ornaments I had been eyeballing then". So she proceeds to check out another costumer while I grab more items to buy, and she goes on and on having great banter attempting to engage with the other customer and when I get back up... bare minimum of acknowledgement, I even ask to see jewelery and end up purchasing 2 pairs of earrings ... I spent nearly $200 in the store and felt like I was below being served like they didn't care to have me as a...
Read moreI visited here while in Los Angeles and purchased a few pieces of jewelry, one of the necklaces I purchased has a tiny very thin gold seashell attached and in less than a month of very minimal wear the seashell broke at the stem; I called from Massachusetts and they replaced it and sent me another one which was deeply appreciated at no cost! Although I love the necklace, the shell is not going to last because the stem that attaches to the necklace is way too thin and I can see it is going to break again. It’s a beautiful necklace but I am looking for another seashell for the chain. It is going to cost me extra money about $50 above the $80 I already spent but the seashell is not a good fit due to craftsmanship beyond the artisans’ control! UPDATE: I am happy to say on this 23rd day of September 2022 that the shell is still in one piece and although thin and fragile it has held up! I am happy for that for sure, I hope I didn’t...
