Petros Restaurant — Restaurant in Manhattan Beach

We were asked to leave since people were waiting to be seated. We were never told that there was a 2 hour limit when the reservation was made and when we arrived. There we 2 tables next to us that we seated before us and weren't asked to leave. I spoke to the manager and she did apologize and stated she doesn't know why we were asked to leave. The manager did offer a gift card, I did say thanks but won't be coming back. Again, I mentioned about the 2 other tables and response as to why..... We were not seated on time, about 15 minutes after, we never said anything because it was busy and that's understandable. We got our food except for my mom, who waited 10 more minutes to get her food and the rice was cold. Our server was new or in training she would take a long time to get back to our table and forget things. Not sure but didn't apologize or say anything. We chose this place to celebrate my mom's birthday. It's unfortunate that the experience was not good. What a dreadful experience last night was. I have been coming to Petros for my birthday for the last decade and this year will be my last. I have a three-month-old newborn this year and our reservations were at 6:30 pm. Our party of seven arrived at 6 pm. We checked in and they said the table wasn’t ready. We sat at the bar for over an hour until it was 7:20 pm and my newborn woke up. The seven hostesses behind the check-in area seemed completely disinterested in helping us out. They seemed lost and confused. They were mean and not understanding. And we were there on time and patient. I had to leave the dinner early because my daughter was so annoyed. I couldn’t even enjoy my meal with my family or my birthday. Dreadful experience if you have kids- don't come! They are not kind and will make you wait over an hour after your reservation. Also, you should let people know that “outside” is not guaranteed even though we opted for it....

Came here for a team bonding dinner, and there was plenty of outdoor seating. The food was great. We started with the calamari, which was just the right crisp. They had some battered lemon to go with it, as well (I'm sure I was supposed to eat it to complement the squid, but I just ate the whole slice. Lol) We also had the dip sampler, and all the dips were very interesting and tasty. I had the grilled salmon, and it was cooked just right, little crisp outside but soft inside. One of my colleagues had the roasted chicken which was stuffed with feta cheese, and it looked good, I'd be excited to try that on another visit. The only drop in star is because we were a bit forgotten at times. We ran out of our beverages long before our server would come by, and we had to ask for refills. One of our party couldn't ask for condiments for his food because he assumed it would take too long. Overall, didn't dampen the meal experience, still...
