I've been a customer for several years, and followed this business as it's moved to several locations. The most recent location is furthest from me, but I went to get a new baby gift with the name embroidered, as I do for each of my friends when they have a baby. I called ahead of time to find out the store hours, and was told they were closing at 5 BUT the owner would wait if I got there shortly after which was very kind of her.
I asked if I could place my order over the phone and provide credit card information, so it would be ready when I got to the store and I would not hold the owner/manager up. I was told that was unnecessary as long as I got there shortly after 5. I got to the store right at 5, picked out my gift quickly and asked to have it embroidered. I was told I had to come back the NEXT DAY to pick it up.
I explained that I was visiting my friend in an hour, and the ability to have a blanket custom embroidered so quickly after a baby was born was the reason I drove all the way to her new location. I was told she couldn't do it, and was leaving. I left empty handed, my time wasted. I was late to visit my friend and her new baby that evening because I needed to stop at an alternate store to pick out a gift.
The customer service offered at this shop was never good, but the products were adorable and the convenience was great. With the convenience gone, and the customer service at an all time low, I'll never go back. Posting a sign on the door thanking customers for supporting local businesses but offering poor customer service in return is a sure fire way to send customers running to online stores, and right out of their local business.

Read moreMy first visit was to have 4 pillows embroidered with a large monogram. Brought the pillow covers to the store- in plastic- never taken out. Picked out the only monogram she seemed comfortable doing even though it wasn’t what I wanted. When I picked up, there was dirt in the same spot on all 4 pillows. When I pointed this out she told me I brought them in that way. Really?! She did offer to reimburse me for dry cleaning which I did but it was inconvenient for me. I’m now looking at the pillows and the stitches are coming out already. Such a poor job. And she kept telling me how many stitches it took- like it was my fault! Hey! It’s your business! I also chose a white a bridal hanger to be monogrammed but when I come to pick it up it was the wrong color hanger. No wonder - her work area is a MESS! My daughter also got attitude from her when she brought Christmas stockings in. Before even a “hello” she pointed to the stockings and said “no, no, no”. What a way to run a business. I’ve gone into the store to ask her a question and she hardly looked up from her egg salad sandwich which she was eating over items she was selling. I had attempted to place an order for something I needed in a week- a baseball hat- and was told it would take much more time. Additionally I walked into the store with three Christmas stockings (in October, so no holiday rush) and didn’t even make it to the counter without telling me she couldn’t do- my crafty coworker easily did it for me instead.
