Been doing business here for a few months. They have some good furniture items, however I am on two different payment schedules one set I have it weekly and the other is biweekly. Well every week the staff mix up my payments, and I'm left to keep explaining to them something that is so simple. Since then I have completely stopped working with them and let my boyfriend take over the account. Some girl that works here calls me every Saturday afternoon when I'm at working leaving voicemails that my payment is due, let alone the send an email out on Friday. Its helpful but I feel harassed. Also whenever I call to make payment they have my account mixed up, and I have to update my address every time. This past Saturday I called to make payment and the girl answered and asked if I was still at my old address I said why do I have to update my address everytime and she was rude and was like I'm sorry but thats not my fault I wasn't the one you told your new info to. She is so rude and untrained it is ridiculous, next time I would like to speak to the manager. Also I have reached out to customer care and no one has contacted me back, very disappointed with the service. Will be...
Read more,,I have rented from Rent A Center several times in the past with out a problem. This time I have been calling every week about the item I want and they keep saying it will be in next week. This has gone on for 2 months. When I called the other day the guy said they could order it for me. I asked how much I needed to pay to do that and the guy said he needed my info then he could tell me. He said once he entered my info he would know how much I was approved for and how much I would need down. He said it would depend on my income. He asked for my name and address and my social security number. Actually he asked for my social security number 3 times and then said his computer was slow and put me on the phone with another guy who asked for my social security number and my previous address. Then the other guy was back on and said I would need to pay a month in advance and I was only approved for $1000. How can they determine that based on my income when they never asked me where I work how much I make or anything? Also, I have never been told that when I rented before. I just feel extremely uneasy about everything that happened the other day. Is this how they do...
Read morePrior to even reviewing all documentation and while still submitting documentation which clearly approved me, Anthony, "the store manager" denied me based on the fact that even though I have a legal binding rental agreement, being that it's in a recovery house, he personally decided to deny my application. I work full time, I met or exceeded all requirements, even gave my social security and paystubs. But due his personal bias which is not rentacenter policy and his own prejudicial process, he denied me and admitted to the fact it was due to my living situation.... I'm disgusted and will be reaching out to corporate further on this matter, this isn't even about me personally, blatent bias against people in recovery is shameful and unlawful, against anyone for that matter. This has the same principals being stomped on as if someone were declined on age, race,...
