I feel inadequate to review since I know nothing about Swedish candy. But from an outsider opinion, it was a neat store! Candy was yummy and there were lots of unique ones to choose from. I appreciated that everything was explained so I had a better understanding of flavors. The candy is all sold by the pound. When I went it was $15 a pound. A little pricey but I understand for a specialty store. You grab some gloves and then take whatever candy you want and fill your bag. The store is small, but not too cramped. It’s a little overwhelming if you don’t go in with prior knowledge. I brought my two year old which wasn’t a great idea because I needed to take time to read every candy bin and he just wanted to open all the bins and grab candy! So I’d either go in with some research under your belt, or go alone with some time so you can thoroughly look through all the bins.
It’s mostly chewy candy, not chocolate. You may lose some...
Read moreI visited the shop on Granite Run and the candy was horrible. I spend $25.00 on various candies and didn’t realize most of it was very hard. Tasted stale. I was on my back to Delaware after visiting my daughter in Mount Joy. I have been to the shop in Lancaster on Queen street and it is so much better. The candy is fresh and not hard as a rock. I spoke with the manager at the Lancaster store and she told they have had a lot of complaints about the other store. They have talked to them but the store has yet to correct the situation. Don’t go to the shop on Granite Run. Candy...
Read moreWhat a cute shop! Gnomes! Mushrooms! Needle-felted Vikings! Weird but yummy Swedish candy! A little tough to find because of the signage but persevere and you'll be in for a treat! I like this location better than the downtown one because It's easy to park and 2. There's also a gift shop in the space that has all kinds of cute items; NOT your typical PA Dutch kitsch that's so ubiquitous around here. I got sour skulls (great- a family fave), ginger licorice (also great) and some assorted stocking stuffers.
Staff is really friendly...
