We stayed at the TownPlace Suites about a month and a half after it opened. The hotel looks fantastic and is in a convenient spot next to the highway and many stores/restaurants.
I will compliment the front desk staff. They were probably the most friendly, helpful, and professional front desk staff of any hotel I've stayed at. They have a great group there.
The one part the hotel needs to work on is to keep ahead of running out of things. At breakfast the workers were constantly behind items running out instead of anticipating and having replenishments ready to go. Almost every day people were standing around waiting for the major items and coffee to be cooked. This also extended to the time we went to the pool where the towel station was all empty.
The one flaw in the room design (besides "hide and seek" with the thermostat control) is that there are 2 motion censors for the room that have lights that blink. During the day, no problem, at night though you move half an inch and you get flash banged by green lights. Also same thing with the microwave clock, it shines right into your eyes for a two queen bed room. We ended up covering it with paper towels at night.
Once the crew is more trained I'm sure things will get sorted out and I certainly would not hesitate to stay...
Read moreBrand new combo Fairfield/TownePlace property. Was open just 56 days when we checked in. ||Overall a good stay. Some kinks to be worked out at breakfast. Laid out poorly for traffic flow, for example waffle maker users standing around blocking access to other hot items. Usual Marriott items sometimes out sometimes not like salsa and flavored creamers. ||Back door was broken and unable to enter with key. Might want to put a sign on the door until it’s repaired. ||Room seemed clean but housekeepers seemed to miss some spilled peanuts from a previous guest next to the mattress when changing sheets. ||Front desk staff friendly and addressed requests but desk also was sometimes had to go track someone down. ||There’s a full service bar in the lobby. New one for me staying at this tier property. ||Bedding and towels clean and comfortable. Towels are new and still soft. ||As with most new hotels, soundproofing is lacking. Easily heard conversations in the adjacent room and heavy thumping when the guest above walked around. But neighborhood is quiet and no noise from outside. ||Overall better than the old Fairfield that was across the street and changed to a Spark brand. Will stay again and hope it holds up to...
Read moreBrand new hotel that opened Mother's Day weekend 2025. Staff is new and still figuring things out but are very kind. Breakfast is fresh and plentiful. Hotel is very clean. Bartender Jerry is great and gave free small sodas to the kids from the bar. They don't yet have their liquor license so they are giving out cards at check-in for all drinks but you didn't have to turn in your cards when you got the drinks. Several guests in the lobby loved the free booze as a result. Indoor pool was very clean and workout room was well stocked and modern. Would definitely stay again if I'm in the area. Only weird thing is the location of the thermostat in the room. It's hidden behind the right wall light sconce. It took us...
