** Revised Review After Another Visit (5/5 experience)
This is a first for me, going back and revising a review (if you’d like to see my original review it’s still below this revised version) but I’ve always been a believer in second chances and business’ deserve that as well.
My first experience was not a good one by any standard, but I decided to try them out again and I was blown away with the hospitality I received. Admittedly, I worried about how my review was received and if I’d be welcomed back but that wasn’t an issue.
Note - the man that helped me the first time wasn’t there this time, so I’m not sure if that was the reason for a better visit but all-in-all I was very satisfied with my shopping and conversations had.
Overall, this visit was a 5/5 rating and I will definitely be back again. I’ve given the main star rating a 4/5 only because of the first review I had but I could see myself changing that again in the future.
Sometimes, bad days are only bad days. Can’t judge someone or a business based solely on that and I’m happy I didn’t and tried them again.
Well well well, here we are. I don’t enjoy giving reviews of 2 or less stars but in the case for the experience I had at VSM Sports Card Outlet, I’m willing to make an exception.
Unfortunately, my review is not the first or even 10th review stating the outright unprofessional and outright EGOTISTICAL behavior of the staff. Like so many before me, I also was treated with disrespect from a staff member when walking in. To keep my story from turning into a novel, basically - I walk in with questions about collecting sports cards (since I’m new to this genre) and the man I spoke to, not only insinuated what he only anticipated the interaction to be, but also took ZERO time in actually listen and assist to the customer to the best of his abilities. To add the cherry on top, when a pair of buyers entered after me that he knew from before, he completely disregarded the fact that I was in (LITERAL) mid-sentence with him and simply left without an excuse me, pardon me, or any other type of phrase that lets me know he will be returning to the conversation.
Never have I felt more disrespected inside a store. So much so, I even took the time to find another employee to express to him the situation instead of just leaving. Needless to say, I still don’t know (insert whatever your favorite swear word is here) about Sport Cards but what I do know is I will never be back to this...
Read moreSheesh, i went to this store excited because I can't find nothing like this near me and when I went in I was looked at a little oddly. Maybe it was me but I did feel a bit awkward like if I was being stared at or judged. Again maybe my stuff but oh well. There are great items in there and what your looking for guaranteed. Now only thing is that everything was way way way overpriced...... Seriously boxes for 55 were 90 or 95 there. Just everything was way over priced and so I just looked and left. I came in there wanting to spend like 1 or 2 grand but with those prices theres no way. Ok place but pricing is bad and yaw are definitely taking advantage of the hobby. Same boxes at walmart and target for 21 bucks are there for 90 and up. Like really. Its guys like that I stay away from. Yaw ruin it for the kids to rip and collect with these overpriced items. Anyway again neat store but way...
Read moreStopped by today, spent about 3-4 hours going through the $1-10 boxes. I only got through 1/4 of what they have. This is the best card shop I have ever been to by far. The staff was super friendly and helpful. Prices on cards were pretty good, boxes and packs were a little mixed, hobby boxes seemed priced decent but some retail blasters were way more than you can get on eBay. I drove an hour to get there and definitely planning on going regularly from now on. I can’t recommend this place enough. I was a little disappointed that I spent over $600 and wasn’t given even a small break on my bill after seeing them give breaks on pricing to almost every one I saw buying stuff in my hours there...
