I'm just writing to share about my previous experience at Pawn America which was excellent. I was recently diagnosed with liver disease which then also led to complications with my kidneys. As a result I now have become jaundiced with some frequency and require treatments such as dialysis to handle the symptoms. It's a long and tedious procedure and keeping myself entertained during the process is a mighty task. I've read all my books (and I'm not much of a reader to boot), and I had decided I needed something else to keep me entertained.
I wanted to try some video games as those might pass the time but I didn't know too much about any of the systems. I just wanted to try out a system without having to buy a new one at full price just to find out I might not like it. I had heard of Pawn America but I was a bit nervous to try it out (or a bit yellow if you can pardon the pun) as my mother had always led me to the impression that they were unsavory places. However, when I went in myself and it seemed like a highly reputable and serious business. I was immediately greeted by a chipper and polite employee named Jacey (sorry if I got the spelling wrong). She was immediately helpful and guided me to the gaming systems. Since I was a complete novice she helped fill me in on my options. Since I needed to play on the go she recommended the Nintendo Switch which was perfect for my scenario.
After getting the system and a few games, I'm happy to report that my dialysis sessions are for more pleasant and the time seems to fly by as I play both Animal Crossing or Doom Eternal depending my mood that session. I'm sure there will be more games to come! I would highly recommend Pawn America! Great customer service...
Read moreYesterday 2/22/22 I had an awful experience. We are downsizing and remodeling, therefor I brought in some items to get rid of. Immediately he had a negative attitude and barely let me speak. Gave me quotes without even taking a moment to Actually look up the items and give me a reasonable quote, I came back because I needed to discuss the offer with my significant other first. He proceeded to tell me I had a âshiity attitude and that I was not cooperating with him since my first visitâ and âare you going to tell me I donât know what was right in front of meâ because I only brought in (the second time) the items he gave me an quite in. I stuck up for myself and then he pushed my items at me and said âyou know what Iâm not interestedâ.
This workers name is Chris I believe and he is at the Mankato, mn location.
My thoughts are as a sales member you should treat your customers with respect and no employee should ever talk to a customer that way. If you donât like your job that much then find something different, because I will never go back here again. My family enjoys purchasing items from here especially games ect for the kiddos and this individual has caused my family to never spend another penny there again and now I donât even feel comfortable going in there because of the way I was treated by Chris
I will say the other staff are wonderful and I have never had any issue with the rest!
I went to the other pawn shop in Mankato and they were amazing and took care of me...
Read moreThis was my first time in this specific Pawn America, and WOW I was blown away at the amount of Xbox titles they had! I had been running low on Xbox games I hadn't beaten when I came across a bunch of titles that I had never gotten the chance to play! Although the huge selection of titles was enough alone to make me want to come back, it was my experience with Eva that set in stone my definite return to the store. Immediately right off the bat she was extremely kind, and knowledgeable about the games. She was so down to Earth to talk to, and overall made me feel so special, and valued as a customer. I left the store with a big smile on my face thanks to my interaction with her, and also for the fact that she made it so I was able to play a bunch of new games I otherwise would not have been able to without her help. Pawn America is so lucky to have an employee like Eva...
