I'm going to preface this review by saying that I'm not the biggest fan of Panda Express, BUT if this cook/manager? is making the food, I'll come every time.
My husband loves Panda Express, so I've been to more locations than I could count on both my hands. Almost every time, their items are either not sauced enough or overly sauced and too sweet. There was never a happy medium, hence me not liking it.
Well, one day after a doctor's visit, I actually requested we eat at this specific Panda Express because it was close, and we were pressed for time, plus it's one of the hubs' favorites.
I was not expecting much since we've eaten at Panda so many times. I get my usual-fried rice, walnut shrimp, and decided on a new dish, the sesame chicken.
I noticed the Fire Cracker shrimp and asked if I could sample one. I guess with the pandemic, they don't do that anymore? I was fine wth that. Inflation is killing everyone. The person behind the counter scooped a few into my plate anyway. I thought it was very nice of him.
Hubby and I sat down to eat, and I was pleasantly surprised. Everything was well-seasoned and cooked well. The rice wasn't undercooked nor dry. The sauce wasn't gloopy, and the items we had were not over-sauced.
I tried the firecracker shrimp that he scooped into my plate, and my eyebrows shot up. Hmm, it's not sweet. That was a pleasant surprise for me, as I don't like to eat a lot of sweet foods in my meals, so I had my husband go back and order a side of fire cracker shrimp and abandoned my sesame chicken, also not bad but was sweet.
After a pretty satisfying meal, I had to take a picture of the person who I assumed made the food, and made a mental note that if he was making it the next time, my meal...
Read moreFirst of all I want to say that Jackie was amazing and displayed amazing customer service skills when my boyfriend and I came in tonight. The selections we wanted were still being made so she offered us complimentary drinks for the inconvenience while we waited for the teriyaki chicken and broccoli beef to be ready. She even alerted us when they were finished and met us around the counter to begin putting together our bowls. Another woman was waiting who arrived after us and when the manager came forward, (I believe her name is Alana) she rudely scolded Jackie saying that the woman was “there first”. Jackie replied kindly that we had arrived first but yet her manager insisted quite rudely that “the other woman was there first but okay”. I was shocked that she would not only respond to her employees so unprofessionally but that she’s would do it in front of customers so confidently when she was clearly clueless as to what was going on. She does not need to be in management. It is this kind of unprofessionalism and tactlessness from management that hinders business and destroys employee moral. I cannot applaud Jackie enough for how she handled it and remained respectful, she will certainly be going places in life. As for the so called “manager”, I hope she is ashamed for how she behaved, apologizes to Jackie, and relieved of her title, because she clearly...
Read moreI’m sitting here waiting for my online order 20 minutes after I received a text saying my order was ready! Why text me and say it was ready if it wasn’t? Ridiculous. Yet every person who walks in here and goes through the line is helped immediately and about 10 people have come and gone since I’ve been sitting here. They haven’t even offered me a drink and I’ve been sitting here for 16 minutes waiting in the restaurant. Still don’t have my order.
Update: It took a total of 55 minutes total before my order was ready from the time it was placed and 20 minutes that I sat in the restaurant after receiving a text saying my order was ready to be picked up. After I finally went to the counter and got louder and asked when it would be done the manager came over and said he was sorry about that and asked what he could do to make it right. I said just make sure my order is right and the sauces and stuff I requested online with my order are in there so I can go home and eat. Well, I got home and I have no fortune cookies, no plasticware, no napkins, and very little sauce for the four...
