Crispy Seafood & Chicken — Restaurant in Mansfield

I ordered 2 thighs, 1 fish & fries. I examined the contents while standing at the counter and found that one of the thighs is actually the back portion of the chicken, where the thigh meets the back while the thigh itself is missing. I could see where the whole thigh bone had been cutoff. At this point the owner has already taken my money. I'm pointing out to him that this is not a whole chicken thigh. So he put my change on the counter -trying to convince me otherwise. He turned the lights off twice and locked the door, claiming that they were closed so that I wouldn't be able to take pictures of this order before leaving. He refuses to make amends either by replacing the piece or reimbursing a portion of the cost. Clearly, this is NOT two thighs. I parked at least 10 parking spaces from Crispy due to availability. I get in my car, look up and this man is hastily walking in front of it with his phone to take pics of my vehicle and tells me; "The police is coming". Because of that I stayed parked & waited. I was not about to risk him fabricating the story. Two officers came, spoke to both of us (and a witness in my defense came back-that was nice of her). One officer asked the Crispy Seafood owner if he was going to reimburse me in some way or risk me filing charges (he pushed me trying to get me out). The owner angrily, with arms waving, said; "No". WOW. What a sad soul!! I was asking over the phone do they cross contaminate = using the cooking oil for everything and he said yea so what do you want I said nothing because I don’t eat chicken and I can get sick he said ok we fry different what do you want I said nothing because if I get sick I’m going to be upset he said what do you want I ask how much was their fish he told me to come in and see and then hung up on me!! First question I asked was is the fried fish catfish or SWAI? The gentleman said catfish so I paid $9 for (2) filets alone.

To my disappointment the fish was fried a light golden (could have been fried harder) yet the texture inside was a gummy, mislead. When I broke it apart it was a little tuff, unlike how catfish breaks apart.

I understand times are hard financially on families & businesses. Best practice is honesty.

My son was hungry so I let him have a filet on the ride.
