Subject: Unfortunate Experience at Market Street - Unappreciated and Racially Profiled
Dear Customer Service,
I am writing to express my extreme disappointment and frustration with the treatment I received at your Market Street location recently. My encounter with an employee named Julie was nothing short of unpleasant and left me feeling racially profiled and unappreciated as a loyal Market Street consumer.
During my visit, I approached the checkout counter to make a purchase. However, Julie displayed an aggressive attitude, refusing to check me out and rudely putting her hands in my face when I attempted to inquire about the situation. I was taken aback by her behavior and calmly mentioned that I would speak with her manager to resolve the issue.
To my dismay, instead of addressing my concerns professionally, Julie proceeded to yell at me in front of other customers, making me feel humiliated and embarrassed. This experience was not only disrespectful but also completely unacceptable in any customer service setting.
As a longtime Market Street customer, I have always appreciated the quality of your products and services. However, this incident has left me questioning whether my patronage is truly valued. No customer should be subjected to such treatment, especially one who has supported your business over the years.
I sincerely hope that you will take this matter seriously and address the behavior of your employee, Julie, to ensure that no other customer faces a similar experience in the future. Additionally, I urge you to reinforce the importance of respectful and inclusive customer service among all your staff members.
I believe that by acknowledging and rectifying this issue, Market Street can continue to be a welcoming and inclusive place for all customers, regardless of their background.
Thank you for your attention to this matter. I look forward to your prompt response and...
Read moreMarket Street Grocery is located on E Broad, serving the lovely people in Mansfield, TX, fresh produce, meats, dairy, and a bakery with many more other goodies such as a bar inside named Taphouse!
The grocery store is your typical community market with locations all throughout TX, providing second to none customer service. I usually come here for my daily needs for everyday essentials and find myself at taphouse at the end. They have an excellent selection of produce and organic fresh fruit and vegetables while the bakery and pre-made foods have and will always have a place in my heart. They got deals throughout the week, such as Monday drumstick night, where they provide already fried drumsticks to take home. They also have a great selection of sushi, fried chicken wings, and soups. They also have a pharmacy on-site providing pharmaceutical needs and over the counter medicine. While in the store, you might enjoy grabbing a fresh brewed cup of Starbucks coffee or heading over to Tap House 16, where they have local drafts and wine for purchase. You can easily sip at the bar and enjoy the vibe or walk around the store and drink as well. The happy hour is amazing, and the staff and workers fulfill their service to the community with a smile.
Overall Market Street is a great and lovely store to get your daily needs of groceries while experiencing exceptional customer service. The prices are a hit or miss while comparing to your other typical grocery stores, but I do believe they are all eventually the same besides the customer factor you won't get from the local...
Read moreThis review is not for the overall store, I find it to be easily 4 stars. This is because I have become increasingly frustrated with the sushi area. The service and quality has not been an issue until this past month. I am a regular custom, I typically purchase their takeout sushi twice a week (sometimes more). My absolute favorite are the baby lobster rolls. About a month or so ago I stopped in to find that they were out of the prepared rolls, but that’s happen before and I just had them made fresh. This time I was told that they were out of the lobster, but they were expecting an order tomorrow. I came in the next day...no rolls and an excuse. I tried again and the young guy who was working said, “They didn’t have them because they are too expensive, I mean we should have them later in the week.” This pattern of random excuses has continued for an entire month! Today, over a month since my first attempt to make a purchase I was once again told a barrage of lies, “the person who makes them is out”, “I think we had them this morning” also untrue because I did my weekly shopping THIS MORNING! My frustration at the time of this review is no longer about the sushi, it is about the blatant LIES! Just tell me you won’t be carry that particular roll any longer, simple. Who knows, I might have found another option that I equally enjoyed, but now I’ll go elsewhere. I would like to believe that the sushi section is an exception and not the future of the Market Street I’ve experienced since it opened...
