This is my first time ever here and I'm glad I didn't take my whole family. Low rating online reviews a year ago seems like they haven't improved as I would hope today since the owner responds to most reviews and is aware of the poor service. The recent reviews made me think they did improve, but didn't. Normally my wife and I would go find new places to eat and if it's good, we'll be back with everyone. We went to dine in a few hours before closing and we were the only ones there, which is probably the first clue. The lady seated us and took our order. The menu had several X out items, second clue. I ordered the spicy tonkatsu ramen and my wife ordered the spicy osaka miso ramen. The lady later brought all our food in plastic to go containers stack on our table from the appetizers to the noodle bowls. How is this dine in? The soup broth was also in a separate container and not even hot. It was very weird to pour the broth into our noodle bowls ourselves like making our own. It is better to eat our microwaveable tonkatsu noodles bowls from Costco at home. The wakame salad was good and tasted like from Costco. The sashimi mini cup was ok and not fresh because it is also in a plastic to go bowl. I'm glad I didn't order 2 other appetizers as I wanted. This is my first experience ever dining in and getting served with to go containers. I was hoping this would be a very good place since it is closer to home.

Stopped by about an hour before closing. I was the only customer for a bit. The hostess/waitress was friendly and took my order quickly. I went with edamame to start, a gyu don (beef rice bowl), and an Asahi beer. The beer came with a mug, but unfortunately, the mug was room temperature. If you’re going to serve beer with a mug, it should at least be chilled or frosted. The beer itself was cold, but the experience fell flat—though of course, I still finished it. No beer left behind. The edamame was overcooked and unsalted. Not much else to say there. As for the gyu don, it was just okay. The meat portion was a bit scarce, and something about it felt off—hard to put my finger on. I’ll chalk this up to the timing and give the place another shot next time I’m in the area. I understand the restaurant business is tough, and there are plenty of places to spend a dollar. Hopefully next visit is better—happy to update my rating then

We have our usual places to eat Thai or sushi but saw this place was open and decided to give it a try. Upon arrival we were greeted immediately by a lovely friendly hostess; seated with menus and served our drinks. We had the bento boxes as well as an extra order of California sushi. It was nice to be inside of a cold restaurant after doing activities outside all day. The food was hot, fresh and delicious! We’re were offered additional sauces but chose the mango habanero which was sweet-spicy scrumptious! It paired well with the veggie rolls as well as on the chicken teriyaki. Plus, it’s great your given chopsticks and regular silverware. Very affordable for my family of 4; only $50. Food menu ranges from $4.95 to $15. We will definitely return! Also, they play excellent tunes inside. Very friendly establishment!

Absolutely deplorable. My group of four arrived at 5:45pm on Christmas Eve. There was one other diner in the establishment when we arrived. There were three on staff; two in the kitchen, one out front. While we were there, two groups showed up for large takeout orders. I ordered two appetizers; one hot, one hot one cold, two miso soups, yakisoba with chicken, and a Rainbow Roll. My friend ordered a rice bowl and a Dragon Roll while his gluten intolerant wife ordered two Philly Rolls without rice. First, someone came out of the kitchen to inform us he couldn't make the Philly Rolls without rice. After some debate we resolved that issue. Then my gyoza arrived. Then my soups. Not a problem. My yakisoba arrived about 5 minutes later; old reheated chicken. Twenty minutes later, my friends rice bowl arrived. Ten minutes later his wife's Philly Rolls arrived followed by my cold appetizer. Mind you, my wife' s Rainbow Roll has not arrived yet and now my yakisoba is cold as I'm am not going to eat before everyone has been served. Ten minutes later two Dragon Rolls arrive despite only one having been ordered, but, no Rainbow Roll. Eight minutes later the Rainbow Roll shows up; no avocado. My Yakisoba has not been sitting on the table for about 40 minutes at this point; cold and dead. I handed it back to the server without a word as I was biting back my fury over such incompetent service. I am a career corporate chef and my wife a career food service manager. I don't write this scathing review lightly, but, I know what service should be. And, what my group received that night was embarrassing and inexcusable. I would have received hotter food and better service at the Sonic down the road. Needless to say my lack of a meal pretty much set the tone for the rest of my...

I’ve eaten at this place for quite a few years now. It’s usually a wonderful experience, except for tonight. There’s a worker there I’ve never seen before, but I see in other reviews that she’s worked there for some time. She was extremely rude to us the entire time we were there. When she greeted us, it was very cold and she rolled her eyes when we asked to dine in. For context, we came in 20 minutes before close, because my boyfriend thought they closed later. We try to avoid arriving so near to close at restaurants, but by the time we realized our mistake, we were already seated and she was about to take our order. Every response from her was curt, and she slammed our plates to our table. She picked up our plates without asking if we had finished yet. She came up to us to ask if we wanted a to-go box with a huge attitude, arms crossed, clearly upset we were still there. We were rushing our eating, and we ended up leaving at 9:40, 10 min after close. We heard her slamming dishes around in the kitchen and murmuring. While I couldn’t hear most of what she said to herself, I definitely did catch some angry cursing. This was my first bad experience here, and it’s disappointing. If the owner or a manager of this establishment reads this, please know: this employee will discourage me from choosing Ninja Kitchen when I am in Mansfield. She’s the short girl with glasses. Again, I’ve seen other negative reviews about her. On the other hand, the food is always spectacular here. The ramen is great, and my favorite is the chicken...

A Tale of Two Visits I recently had the pleasure of dining here for the second time, and while my first experience was fantastic, the second visit fell short due to some service issues. On my initial visit, I was thoroughly impressed with both the food quality and the attentive service. Each dish was crafted to perfection, showcasing the culinary expertise of the kitchen, and our server was friendly and knowledgeable, enhancing our dining experience. However, during my second visit, the service did not live up to the same standard. Our waiter, while friendly, seemed quite young and inexperienced. From the start, there was a palpable sense of urgency in the air that made us feel rushed, rather than allowing us to enjoy our meal at a leisurely pace. Unfortunately, it didn't stop there; I noticed several lapses in attention to detail and follow-through on her part. One particularly frustrating moment occurred when she brought us the check twice before we had even finished our meals. This felt not only premature but also quite rude and unprofessional. It was disappointing, considering how much I had enjoyed my first experience. Overall, while the food remains excellent and worthy of a return visit, I hope the management will address the service training for newer staff members. A little more experience and confidence can go a long way in creating a welcoming dining atmosphere that matches the quality of the cuisine. I look forward to coming back and hope to see improvements in...
