Good Things has a very restrictive return policy, which is not communicated clearly, if at all at the time of purchase. I recently traveled to Arbor Lakes shopping center for the first time and bought a variety of gift and home decor items at Good Things, including a Christmas throw pillow. I was not informed of their return policy upon check out. When I got home the pillow I had purchased did not fit the space. It took me a little over three weeks to find the time to get back up to Arbor Lakes to return the pillow. At that time I was informed that they have a 14 day return policy and a no return policy on all Holiday items. When I pointed out that Arbor Lakes is a destination shopping local, difficult to return to if you do not live close, they were uninterested. As I had my receipt I then asked for store credit, again they were completely uninterested, my concerns were dismissed; I felt disregarded. The fact that Good Things is a local company makes this experience even more disappointing. I will stick...
Read moreThis review is mixed. I love to shop at Good Things because of the vast array of gadgets, unique gifts, clothing, etc! The part I don’t like is their customer service and return policy. WARNING: KEEP YOUR RECEIPT I bought a foldable rainbow keyboard for my granddaughters. The item stopped working so I brought it back for an exchange. To my shock and surprise they won’t let me exchange it without the receipt! I wasn’t asking for money back - just to exchange it. While every other store will stand behind their products, I was very disappointed Good Things wouldn’t! Then when I contact them further they said they would have the manager call - yep, you guessed it - no call! Horrible customer service as they didn’t even attempt to say why I was never contacted by the manager. To this day (at least a month of waiting) still nothing. They want us to support local businesses, yet they don’t support their patrons. Very...
Read moreTreated very rudely by the manager. I was returning something I bought yesterday and left recept on kitchen counter. I have shopped this store for YEARS, YEARS. I was told very rudely its POLICY and I then said it's on my account can't you just print off the recpt?? " Then in her most condescending tone " I will do it this one time" Im not sure what it matters how we get the receipt but I guess looking in a long standing customers account and pressing a button to then print out said receipt is waaay to much work and against policy. I have NEVER in my life been treated like that in this store and have been a good customer for over 15 years!!! This manager needs some lessons in...
