I was never notified by text or call that my 3 year olds piece was ready. So I called after a few weeks to check in, was told it was ready and I could come. One week later I get a text noting to pick it up within the next week. I call the next week to come get it and was told my son’s piece was donated two days ago. I was told it should have been picked up within 30 days of notification, for which I informed them, there hadn’t been any notification at all. I had to call. (No I hadn’t opted out, as they suggested, because I received the one week warning text). They would not even tell me where they donated to. So I drove to three different thrift stores and called 11 others looking for my son’s piece! The owner never called to speak with me as I was told would be the case. I have never in my life been to an art space where your creative hard work is just tossed. So now I’ll just have to tell my three year old that the store threw away his salt and pepper shakers he was waiting to put on the table. We all know three year olds handle that well. Yes, I’m frustrated. Yes, it’s coming out here. No, the store did nothing to try and rectify or calmly fix their mistake of never having...
Read moreWe went to Color Me Mine as a family. It was SO much fun. They have options for both kids an adults. As a group of adults, I was a bit worried about coming in and being bombarded with children around us but that was not the case. Zoey was a rockstar and helped us all with different techniques. My step sister did bubble painting, my friend did a lace doggie bowl. My mom went free hand. The other three of us needed paper to draw our designs and then transfer paper. Zoey was sooo accommodating to ALL of it. I even had to go back the next day to finish the lettering on my platter. It was no big deal to them whatsoever. They even helped me start planning my bridal shower guest book (a serving platter for everyone to sign) so I will definitely be going through them for that as well! Comfortable atmosphere, fun and upbeat music playing in the background. Be prepared to spend a couple hours here, especially if you’re a perfectionist like myself. But I promise, the time...
Read moreI took my 7 and 8 year old grandchildren here for the first time. What a relaxing experience we had! It is a pricy endeavor but when you experience their attentiveness and service plus all of the paints and ways to apply it, the cost matches the experience! The pieces to choose from to paint, are numerous. There is something for everyone-all ages! I chose an unusual serving bowl. My grandchildren chose a kitten and a dragon. We were there over 2 1/2 hours till we finished. No one rushed us. The attendants were responsive when more paint was needed and all costs and instructions were upfront and clear. We left our pieces so they can be placed in a kiln and fired. The store will text me when they are ready. We can hardly wait to see the end result!! Now we...
