Continental Ranch Ace Hardware — Local services in Marana

Apparently it was 6:59 in this place closes at 7 p.m., the sign on the door that said open was still up and the automatic doors we're still unlocked. My husband and I walked in, a dark haired lady to the left of us who worked there immediately told my husband "We're closed, it's 6:59 and we close at 7. Can you come back tomorrow?" I honestly thought nothing of it as we turned around and walked back to her car and then I see an older white lady approaching the area and walked right into the store, after that the same lady who told us that the store was closed and to come back tomorrow, went and turned off the door so they wouldn't open automatically as they closed behind her in the lady that just walked in.

My husband and I sat there in the truck thinking about why she was not asked to leave like we were. We noticed a taller gentleman who also had an ACE vest on came out to the front (while still in the store) to look out; it really did appear as though he was looking at us sitting in our car looking at them LOL.

I hate to take it there- BUT other than the fact that my we're brown and have tattoos there was no other difference. In my mind, the lady got scared when she saw both of us walking, the fact that she focused on my husband and did not speak directly him. She looked down as she was telling us the store was closed and could we come back tomorrow. Tells me she was probably scared for whatever reason, probably her own ignorance. We knew what we wanted to stop in for; it would have taken us no more than a few minutes, check out and all. From what we gathered as we observes the entire scenario, it took the lady much more longer to figure out what she wanted as well as the other customer who hadn't yet checked out. at the end of the day, our plastic is all the same and our money is all...

I have to give this store a five star and I normally dont give those :) Also I must apologize for the lengthy post, skip down to TLDR if you wish. Anyhow, here goes...so it only took a min after I walked in and the cashier was helpful: sent me to the correct aisle and sent an associate to me. This is no big box store where there is no help for miles and the ones who are around are chatting to each other or busy! Lowes, Home Depot...I'm looking at YOU guys... :)

My shower faucet hardware (handle and brass stem) were stripped and in pieces, and I needed replacement parts. The guy who was sent (I believe his name was Mark) was super helpful as well, and even when he couldnt find all the parts, he called another associate over and they BOTH searched!

Well we could only find one of the pieces needed and unfortunately I would have to try the Depot. But I was happy just purchasing the one part from such a helpful establishment. HOWEVER, eagle-eyed Mark noticed the brand name on the piece I had, and found the other needed parts in another area and chased me down before I got to the register! What he found matched my broken hardware exactly. He even found me extra tools I would need to complete the job (this was not an upsell I found out later these were absolutely necessary). I bought it all happily. A few hours (and youtube vids) later and my shower is fixed YaY. Kudos to Mark and his associates and Kudos to Ace :)

TLDR Ace Marana saved me time and travel as I did not have to visit Home Depot or Lowes just to be ignored. AND they saved time and money (probably hundreds) as I dont have to wait on Plumbers to stomp through my house, then pay their high parts, time, and labor fees. I guess Ace really is "The Place"....

I would like to place a formal complaint on this store I had came in with the idea of purchasing a few things my first thing I needed was a new bolt while I was shopping one of the store employees had came up to me and I proceeded to tell him what I needed well he didn’t listen to me and I felt like I was being rushed and I was he grabbed a wrong item then proceeded to tell me that I don’t know what I’m talking about and that this will make do then when I had stated that I might he called me low intelligence and then I asked where I can find a variety pack of metric split washers he said we don’t have them grabbed split washers for the bolt I didn’t need and put them in a bag completely dismissing me I didn’t need 3 he put 3 in the package with the wrong bolt and then said is that all in a very harsh tone not to mention this older gentleman was poorly groomed and had a foul odor I normally don’t care but seeing as he made me feel alienated and called me low intelligence I see this is fit to be brought...
