What a mess. One of the worst service experiences I have ever had. Our 1st waitress, blue and brown hair , walked up to our table and blurted out "do you want something to drink?" I said hi to her and she ignored me. She then forgot to ring in a beer that we ordered. My soup was "snatched" off the table by a different waitress before I was finished. I didn't even have a chance to stop her before she ran off with it. Salad came out next followed by my entree about 3 min later. Yes only my entree! The entrees for the other three people came out over five minutes latet, so my food wasn't hot by the time the rest of the parties food arrived. The food was DELICIOUS. The $9 margaritas was AWEFUL, I think it was limeade with no alcohol. If I remember right we had 6 different waitstaff rotating through. Know one knew what the others were doing. Staff seemed very unhappy. I asked for more water at the end of our meal and never received it, they dropped off the wrong check, which turned out to be the correct one after it was switched for the the identical check and I explained to the young lady, who I think was a hostess, that it was the correct check. We paid and were chatting with our friends when the manager came to the table and asked is to leave because they were on a long wait. Only saving grace was a blonde waitress that checked on us a few times and seemed to be the only polite one there. DO NOT go here, unprofessional, rude, untrained staff and management. Very SAD because the food is really good, albeit not...
Read moreWe have been going here since the day they opened and have always enjoyed the service and amazing sushi. My family has shared our experiences with everyone we know and have had folks come from the east side to try it out. I am employed here with an organization that employees over 12,000 people who often share Tucson’s amazing eateries. This is one I will not brag about again. I realize it was a busy rush hour during the Friday night dinner rush but our experience was inexcusable. Our small part of three waited patiently through the doors for our turn to be seated. There were several couples behind us and I had my eye on a table for four that had been cleared for quite some time. Finally a hostess was walking our way l, so I was sure we would be eating delicious food very soon. The hostess walked right by my small party of three and grabbed the couple in line behind us and seated them....really? I thought to myself. Maybes they had a reservation? Well, I asked and they did not. I asked why we were not seated and nobody had an answer. Another woman said we would be seated soon. We never were because I took my family and left. I felt disrespected, disgusted, but most of all disappointed. I will...
Read moreI am giving top rating specifically for 3 things: 1. the quality of the sashimi (tuna, yellowtail, and salmon are what I always order) - 2. the spicy baby octopus salad - 3. the squid salad. Before moving to Arizona, I used to eat sashimi at least once a week, and I've lived and spent time in several states, coastal and inland. Their fish has consistently been fresh, with no dye, and served before the point of turning. The spicy baby octopus salad has ALWAYS contained good sized octopus, not overpowered with marinade, the right texture, and served atop a bed of seaweed, so you're really getting octopus salad and seaweed salad. The squid salad - always delectable! They have their own recipe, and it's unbeatable. They balance the right sweet with sour, and the salad has a very generous portion of squid, and a sprinkling of sesame seeds. But ultimately, the draw for me is what one should be expecting from a sushi restaurant: fresh...
