Margate Bike Shop — Local services in Margate City

Great bike shop! I’m 61 and wanted a new toy as my old Huffy beach bike was dilapidated. I drove around to four shops and this one was by far the cheapest for a new, entry level men’s hybrid. The other area bike shops were $200 more for a starter men’s hybrid (for riding to Ocean City and Somers Point). I got a new Cannondale helmet and this sweet Jamis Citizen our the door for $440 with a free bell for my wife. They sized me up, built the bike and I was on the road in 45 minutes. Great store. Place is the worst. Dropped my sons bike there with a flat tire and it took almost a month to fix. Charged $40 for a new inner tube and a recycled tire that was considerably used with bald treads. Went there at 2pm on a Sunday. The sign shows it closes at 3pm but the younger male worker yelled "why the f'k does everybody have to come when we're about to close" save yourself the aggravation and go down the road to AAAA bikes. I was visiting the area and broke the chain on my beach cruiser. My quads are hardly massive but obviously powerful. I am kidding. But the chain part is accurate.

I called the shop in hopes of a quick fix and they came through. I dropped my bike off and stopped back in 30 minutes to a fixed bike at a super reasonable price.
