Read moreWent here tonight for dinner and we we're kind of let down. With such high reviews and an inclusive of all palates menu I expected more from this place. We ordered the blueberry sangria and cran apple sangria for drinks, both were pretty good and refreshing and large, both were white sangria's , we prefer red but they only had white sangria options on there drink menu. For appetizer I had the beet carpaccio, my husband had fried calamari, and both items were sub par. My husband felt his calamari was overcooked and short on flavor. My beet carpaccio was good and had a great taste to it but it was mostly arugula. Our entrees were dry rub wings, garlic scallops, and grilled chicken with waffle fries for my son. My husband's wings were extremely spicey, he thought they were decent but nothing to rave about, I literally choked trying one of his wings that was doused in pepper. My scallops tasted plain but were cooked well and not over done, it came over pasta with spinach and tiny slivers of sun dried tomatoes. I don't think my dish was seasoned at all with any type of seasonings and the sauce for it was just oil with maybe 3-4 little roasted garlic cloves. I didn't think it actually tasted like anything honestly. My son's grilled chicken was tough And did not have any taste to it at all. His waffle fries were great so atleast he was happy about that. They have alot of gf options but I think they have such a big menu maybe it's overwhelming as well for customers...
Read moreDecided to try this place after a beach day. I was not disappointed!! Everything was really good. We got the chicken tenders with Thai sweet chili sauce. Excellent...the sauce has just the right amount of spice with sweetness!
My friend and I prefer deep dish Chicago style pizza so we wanted to try the Pan-demic Pie. The server said it was like Sicilian,.made in a pan. The pizza was not deep dish..it was still a thin crust pizza so at first we were disappointed. However when we tasted it, it was delicious. We forgot all about the fact it wasn't Pan pizza. Wow! I'm a pizza snob and it's not easy to find good pizza in south jersey. This was impressive. Amazing sauce. We ordered it lightly baked so it wouldn't come out black and charred. They listened and it was baked perfectly. The crust was garlicky and so tasty. I want to come back again soon to eat it again!
Then we ordered the Bocca brownie for dessert. Something weird was that we saw they have an oreo brownie but would not let us order it as they said it's only for couples. Apparently they have a special couples meal and only those people can get that brownie. Not a very smart customer service move....restricting friends singles etc from a menu item.
However our regular brownie with vanilla ice cream was amazing. It didn't taste frozen at all. Very rich and sweet. Perfect way to end an excellent meal. I will...
