Hot Bagels & More — Restaurant in Margate City

The bagels are excellent here, however, the inside was CRAZY. We first went to the counter because several people shouted, "can I help the next person!!!". So, we walked over and started to order, after we gave about 10 bagels to the cashier, she said, "oh you should probably just use our machines over there to order". Then we walked over redid everything on the machine and waited, waited, and waited. Finally 1 bagel came up but the other 9 were no where to be found. We gave the woman our paper from the machine and asked if we could have the others. She then accused us of not paying at which we had to find the cashier that we indeed paid to vouch for us since a receipt was not given. After another 10 minutes the rest of our bagels came out. This place has good food. I lived in Margate for 40 years and have come here since they opened.

But this year, I noticed that they raised their prices to the point they skin you alive. Ridiculous.

A bagel with lox and cream cheese. - not in a restaurant - more than $13. Absolutely CRAZY. I noticed this summer that all their price went materially. I figured they were making up inflation off the shoobies where they do their biggest business and even that offended me. But on top of raising prices through the roof, they ragged on a 3% service charge. So they get you both ways.

They m not fond of Casel’s prices. But they sell bagels they by from these grifters and if you buy their lox and cream cheese, you’ll get your sandwich at half the price.

I found one of Hot Bagels & More regional locations walking distance from one of my listings in Margate.

Located right on Ventnor Avenue, this is a great spot to grab a coffee and something to eat as a pitstop between shopping.

I was tempted to try their cinnamon hazelnut coffee flavor, but I knew I was buying a black and white cookie and that just would confuse my taste buds. Next time!

Service was prompt and indicated that the baked goods are freshly baked daily their local warehouse.

There is no seating inside, but plenty outside. Even with the heat, I enjoyed people watching and taking a break.
