Nacho Taco — Restaurant in Margate City

Yo, let me tell you about today’s taco journey at Nacho Tacos in Margate, New Jersey. At first, I’ll admit—I was borderline hangry, sitting there outside with my family, thinking this place was gonna earn a mid-score just off the wait alone. But patience, my friends, paid off. Big time.

First off, the shrimp tacos. My wife ordered them, and they came loaded with a fiery mango salsa that had a serious kick. Sweet and spicy—exactly what you’d hope for in a flavor bomb. Bold move, and it worked.

I went in on the Birria burrito—fully loaded, of course. That thing came packed with flavor and love, plus a side of sour cream and a spicy sauce that brought the heat. It was messy in the best way possible.

The kids got the cheese quesadillas and fries, and let me tell you, the fries were no afterthought. Golden, crispy, with that battered crust that crunches just right. You know the ones.

We were outside, island air breezing, tables were limited, but we landed a good spot. It was busy, but not chaotic—and for a place this close to the beach, the check wasn’t outrageous. That was a win.

A sad replacement for TacoCat. I was so hungry going into getting the food. When I am hungry everything tastes better. Except this food. The food was very greasy, and expensive, and just not good. I feel tired and lethargic after eating it. I tried the chicken taco, cheese streak egg roll, and carnitas quesadilla all 3 were sub par. The first bite was good because I was hungry then I realized the food just was bad. Definitely wish I saved my money and would rather be hungry than eat here.

We ordered the Mahi Tacos, birria tacos, and tres leches and it was all pretty tasty!! I must say, the amount of mahi that was in my taco was very disappointing (as shown in photo). Each taco got one little nugget of mahi which was not enough in my opinion BUT the food my friend got was very good and the tres leches was fabulous so I just won’t get the mahi next time.
