Picked up an order for NIV, amongst the order was a Chicken Caesar Wrap. After eating the one half, I bit into the second half and felt a crunch but… METAL and it was stabbing into my cheek. After spitting it out, see photos of what is probably a wire bristle. Upon contacting Downbeach Deli, a manager (William) asked to have the photos sent to him via text message. After texting the number that was given and after following up, no response. I want to remind Downbeach Deli the severity of this flop, had I swallowed this foreign object, this would’ve been a horrible medical emergency, I can’t imagine why they’re not taking this as serious as they should be. Not posting this a deliberate scorn, I contacted them as an FYI so they could correct it, not to complain.

99 percent of our experiences here have been amazing. We have only had one bad experience due to a waitress who was really rude, but we have to give it the benefit of the doubt because every other time we’ve eaten there everyone has been really kind. So we will write that off as a one off where maybe someone was having a bad day. The food is great , the location is awesome. Very spacious. Comfortable seating. Great spot for breakfast. The give complimentary pickles for lunch and they are amazing

The very best in South Jersey. This time I had the burger but the hot dog and potato kinish or pastrami on rye is great. It's a good substitute for Katz in New York City.

I still feel Sick ! The Geriatric waitress gave me Fries that I didnot order i asked for hash browns she gave me an attitude wheni politely let her know! My Wife ordered half a Pastromi Sandwich with Half a cup of soup ,the sandwich was more like a Quarter with 1 dried up slice of Pastromi it was Disgusting ! Great place to eat in or take it to go. Staff is friendly. Not many classic deli's around like this these days. Especialy not at the shore. Love the pickled platter they give you and love the fact they give kids swizzle sticks to play with. Only a block or two from the beach. Grab a to go sandwhich and head to the beach. Or after the beach stop in and grab a bite with the family. The owners are always around and deeply care about their customers. Great food and also have traditional Jewish food too. Love the fish cakes! Best cole slaw I have ever had. Got 2 quarts to go it was so good. I don't know where they get their mayo but man, it is a perfect addition with any sandwhich. Also, great Caesar salad and dressing. Corn beef is amazing. I also love their beef patty melt. They have fast delivery service to your...
