They posted an ad on craigslist for a chest freezer Saturday. They weren't open again until Monday because of the holiday. I called as SOON AS they opened Monday morning. I was more than willing to pay the full price and the delivery fee to bring it to Columbus without even looking at it. She said it needed some parts, which are actually hard to find. She wouldn't take cash when it got here, and I didn't have much money on cards (as I run a cash business), so she had me drive somewhere to put cash on a card. I also finally found the parts and ordered them. After working on this situation for hours, going back and forth with her on the phone all morning, when I called here with the card number she said..."I just sold it about a minute ago". We're still looking for a used chest freezer that size, and this whole situation has left a bad taste in our mouth about the Marion Restore. It's not right to string someone a long all morning and put them through a bunch of hassle's to just sell it to someone else. If you know I'm going to buy it and I'm doing everything possible for that...stick a sold sticker on it...
I saw that the owner replied several years later. You, in fact, are the liar. You should be ashamed of yourself being associated with something like Habitat and on here lying. 100% of this post is true. This is very bold to try to call me a liar.
Edit: You're wearing down my patience with you. You had a big chest freezer for sale. I called about it, the lady told me it's available and that it needed a part for the drain. I explained that I don't want to buy the part if they're going to sell it to someone else. I ordered the part and told them I was on my way to pick up the freezer and she said she would hold it for me since I'm in the truck on the way to get it. I get almost into Marion from Columbus and she calls and says someone just bought it. That's a real frustrating thing to deal with so...I left this review. You can't get out of an honest customer reviews by lying and asking me to take down my review. It's looking very pathetic on your reviews page. My next contact will be the home office if you do anything other than own up...
   Read moreMy initial shopping experience was fine. Not 5 stars but nothing to complain about. I purchased a door thinking it looked like an exterior door, turned out it was an interior door. I brought it back for a refund once I had noticed but the staff had informed me that refunds were store credit only. I asked where that was posted at the checkout because it was not on the receipt, one condescending staff member pointed out that it was at the end of the counter facing into the store not at the register or facing the person checking out. They informed me there was no manager or high up person to assist me and I would have to bring the door back if I wanted to speak to someone else. Would not recommend this restore but the Delaware one...
