Dunham's Sports — Local services in Marion

Went shopping just looking for some deals around Christmas and found a kayak that had a sale price on it. There was a employee working the area and I asked if that was the right price for that particular kayak. He looked it up and down and told me yes it is. I asked are you sure? And he looked at it again and said yes sir that's the price! (Its on the tag and that's the one for sale) after carrying it up to the front i found out it was not the one for sale. The store manager would not give it to me for the sale price. He said the person working was new and didn't know what he was doing. 1st time a store wouldn't honor the price they put on an item. I will most likely not be going back to this store again. Sad really, I understand mistakes happen but you can't put a price on something and then just change it when the customer carrys it to...

One of the worst places to work at you're hired for a job and half. The time you don't even do the job that you're hired for and when they don't. Have you doing the job you were hired for and you get hurt due to them, they decide to let you go. I would not suggest anybody working for Dunham's warehouse. Sporting goods in Marion, Indiana, they have poor attitudes. The work environment is poor and half. The equipment does not work right? I went in looking for a very small item that makes a big difference in bass fishing, hoping that it might be there. To my delight it was in their fishing department along with some other items I haven't seen in any other local store. They don't have a great selection but they do have a good selection. Prices are good and the staff is polite and friendly.

UPDATE: Dunham's in Marion has greatly improved their stock of fishing supplies and there is more coming within the next 2 weeks! The store manager asked me what items I think other anglers and myself would like to see in the store. Last week he told me he ordered a bunch of it and it should be on the shelves in about a weeks!
