I love our theaters. And I'll continue supporting. Just watched a 2hr movie in 90 degrees. They had the heat on. Almost unbearable. Only stayed to not lose out on my money spent. I walked out a couple times to find someone, I couldn't. I know it's the very late showing. Saw other people walk out of another theater. Asked them if they had a hot theater. They said they did not. The lobby was at least 20 degrees cooler than our theater

It has always been a great experience here at Marquette Cinemas. I’ve been here for large screen blowouts as well as smaller room viewing. They have added some fun arcade type games in the lobby. Mixes it up a little. They also serve alcohol now, do with that as you wish.

Always have had good experiences with Marquette Cinemas. && They run really good movie deals on Mondays & Tuesdays! $5 Mondays are my families favorite. Large arcade makes it a fun time for before or after your movie too!

This theater continuously disappoints me. They give off the impression they are entirely too worried about not making enough money (by cutting corners in service, availability and options) like the theater is somehow at risk. They have the monopoly right now. I wish they would instead focus on providing a great service and ensuring customers are happy so they keep coming back. What I want in my local movie theater is a laid back, clean, friendly environment with a variety of films and showtimes throughout the day. You won't get that here. They fail at everything but cleanliness. Many times the staff have come off as snobbish, annoyed, and unhelpful. Showtimes are at awkward time intervals with very few matinee options. They are sticklers about people putting their feet up on the bar; I've been interrupted during a film multiple times to be told to put my feet down. (And it will probably keep happening because I am going to do it again. I want to be comfortable and I pick those seats for a reason; so I won't bother any of the other patrons.) Snack choices are pitiful and they are not laid back at all about bringing in outside food. Popcorn refills cost money and their popcorn is substandard. Their film options are quite limited, for example they didn't have showings of Snowpiercer or Veronica Mars. Their rewards program is set up in such a way that you can very easily miss out on rewards. After a certain number of visits their system will print out a free ticket which you can't use then (because you just bought your tickets) and you better not lose (because their system doesn't save that information). They have local businesses support the theater through pre-movie advertisements and charge something like $300 a month. And yet they don't have Thursday night releases because 'not enough people would show' even though it doesn't seem like it wouldn't cost much and might work much better for some people's schedules (me at least). They finally started offering specialty showings like kids day but it is much too early and not designed to be disability inclusive because the movie is still quite loud and the lights are off. Probably the worst atrocity in my opinion is the lack of an IMAX. Sure, they have a "big screen" but it isn't anywhere near IMAX quality and they don't even have 3D for their "big screen". I still can't believe they spent all that money to build a new theater and didn't decide to include an IMAX. Why? I just don't understand. I wish they would have chosen to forgo the incredibly expensive looking carpet and put that money towards an IMAX instead. All in all, I just wish the other theater hadn't closed. Options are a good thing but apparently Marquette isn't large enough to support two theaters. So, I will keep going back to Thomas because its the only one in Marquette and, though I make the 20 min trek to Country Village Cinema on occasion, it just isn't reasonable every time. The best thing I can say about Thomas Theatre is that there is no reason they have to stay terrible. They could get better, and maybe someday they will add an IMAX. An IMAX would go a long way for me to forgive the...

Went to see A Star Is Born, Lady Gaga, Bradley Cooper, Sam Elliott. Took my wife, my daughter and her fiance. Bought the 4 tickets online. Movie was to start at 5:35 pm. We get there at 5:20, went to the concession stand (this is where you check in, show confirmation code, get receipt, which is a bit odd...normally at the movies there is a ticket booth, you get your ticket and then proceed to the gate or stop at the concession counter if you want something there) and had to ask what to do because it was different and not exactly clear. So, you have to wait in line at concessions regardless of whether you want them or not in order to check in and get your receipt/ticket. Okay, so I figure all that out, not a big deal, we're all excited about being at the movie theater, our first time at this one, and we enter the theater to find some seats...it is 5:28pm exactly. We notice Lady Gaga on the screen, people in movie watching ready mode, and I'm like where are the previews? THEY STARTED THE MOVIE EARLY, and we missed the opening! We were not happy about that. I mean, it wasn't that much but at the time I'm kind of not paying attention because I'm thinking surely this can't be the beginning of the movie... it's too early, I'm very punctual, I don't screw things up like that. But there it was. The movie started 6 minutes early, maybe more and so we missed the very beginning. It's not so much that we missed a lot and we couldn't figure out what was happening, we could, it was easy. It's the principle of the matter. START THE MOVIE AT THE DESIGNATED TIME THAT IS ADVERTISED, how hard can that be? Okay, I'm done with that now. We enjoyed ourselves for the most part. The theater was nice, good screen, comfortable recliner chairs, all the basics...

After paying $28 (for 2 adults & my son)for the new avengers movie in tsx 5 minutes until showtime, we entered the theater to find that the only 3 seats available were in the 1st row...of which NOBODY was sitting. In the dark I tried my best to find seating for my family without tripping over anything. After no seating was found and the movie starting I asked for a manager! The manager then asked me to sit in the front row....which is way too close to the screen to be able to see clearly, even if you're looking straight up! I ignored the fact that the theater and hallway were filthy with popcorn and other garbage only because I was so offended that a manager would allow tickets to be sold when the seating wasn't available! I paid for the "TSX experience" and did NOT get what I hoped to enjoy!!! After expressing my anger with the manager, I asked him if he seen how many people were seated in that row and his reply was "I'm sorry, you should've gotten here earlier". What does that have to do with them selling tickets for a movie that doesn't have suitable seating AND filthy accommodations???? I then got more angry at the "managers" lack of decency and failure to accommodate my purchase and I did swear at him because of it! I was asked to leave without any compensation for my purchase or failed experience! I have been to this theater over 25 times with my family and never have had anything but a pleasant experience, but after how I was treated and my family being forced to stand or sit in seating nobody else wanted, I will NOT give that place another cent of my money and I'll be SURE to tell everyone that I encounter about my HORRIBLE experience at thomas theatre in Marquette...
