Truly the lack of variety for movies playing here is why this theater chain is dying. Look at Marcus Cinemas down in Green Bay and you can see a wide variety of choices rather than having Thomas Theaters only show the same ANGEL Studios schlock every other week. No one other than the elderly wants to see that stuff. Teens and young adults are your largest demographic. Of course they donât wanna go see some boring Christian film about a dude becoming a doctor. This place would make far more money if they actually expanded out their genre choices and actually looked closer at whatâs coming out so they can get as many people in as possible. I just donât understand why recent releases like âKinds of Kindnessâ or âMaxxxineâ are getting pushed aside for screening of random other films that absolutely no one is going to see. Whatâs âKill?â What is âSound of Hope?â No marketing what so ever for these films and you think itâs a good idea to push other films out of the way for this stuff. People like me who want to support this theater and see good indie movies and artist cinema, to keep this place alive and see all the great new movies is incredibly important to me and I think to a lot of other people as well. Donât shelve other movies just so you got a ton of old people in the seats. MARQUETTE IS A COLLEGE TOWN WITH A BUNCH OF ART STUDENTS! You want more money? Show...
Read moreThe lack of cleanliness at the front counter and in the restrooms has definitely impacted how often Iâm willing to come see movies here. The floor around the drink station is always sticky, the counters seem like they are rarely wiped down, and the dispenser for cup lids doesnât appear as though it has ever been cleaned as itâs dusty inside by the lids, sticky inside and out, and finger prints all over. The bathroom counters are always wet and have soap all over them, the trash generally needs to be changed and is overflowing, and toilets donât appear to be cleaned often. I wish the facility was better maintained as itâs the only theatre...
Read moreThey used to offer free tickets to first responders. I called to ask today about it and the person who answered was extremely rude. First responders put others ahead of their own safety and well being. The Fact that Thomas Theatre has changed the wording on their website and their policy, astounds me. We used to buy gift cards and hand them out on holidays and birthdays, I will no longer be taking my business there. I have also let friends and family know of the change and have encouraged them to...
