Update Talked to the owner, it's the owners poor customer service, and possibly not the employees. She said she wasn't going to fix what they broke because she did not like my review below. Even though they already told us twice that we had to pay to fix what they broke. It's unfortunate that I got my wife's ring back in two separate baggies when it was brought in as one piece. I talked to the person that referred me, I guess this is the next generation of owners, not the original owner, and its not what it used to be. (My experience with Jandrons) My wife brought in a ring to have a prong fixed, we agreed to the cost and dropped it off. Got a call that the ring was damaged while they were cleaning it and we needed to pay more to fix it. Then they went through a laundry list of items that were wrong with the ring, I guess implying that we don't take care of it and that is why it broke, but one thing they didn't notice was any damage prior to cleaning, that is their theory as to why its not their fault. None of those things were mentioned when we had it cleaned and inspected 6 months prior. We are going to have it inspected as soon as we get it back, compare it to the most recent inspection and see what other damage they may have caused to the ring. (That is the part that upset the owner the most, you would think a reputable business would want an outside opinion as confirmation that they didn't cause more damage, this owner got very upset. This seems like a poor business practice, break something, then tell the customer that they won't fix it unless we pay more. They refused to take any responsibility for the damage that was caused while they had it, and...
Read moreI have been looking for gold setting, pearl earrings for my 15 year old Grandaughter for this Christmas and just not seeing anything catching my eye at other stores. I was in town for a few last minute items and it dawned on me I hadn't checked Janderon's Fine Jewelry, where I was quickly waited on by a knowledgeable young woman who listened to my description of the type of earrings I was looking for. We proceeded over to a counter of earrings, showing me the inventory and then she pulls out a dainty pair of somewhat dangling, gold setting pearl earrings. Upon examining them, they have a small emerald on the clasp above the pearl. I looked at the jeweler and said my Granddaughter has a May birthday! She laughed and was as astounded as I was with this additional bonus of the May birthstone. Yes, I immediately purchased them. I believe the entire encounter couldn't have been more than 20 minutes and I was on my way. I do know Jandrons has always carried quality jewelry, as I have made purchases in the past. I truly just wanted to share my Christmas delight with the staff and ease of finishing up my shopping on a delightful...
Read moreIt was my first time visiting Jandrons Fine Jewelry, but it certainly won't be my last.
Admittedly, I decided to try this store because of the ease of parking and convenience in being located outside of the busy downtown area. The store itself is immaculate, and the staff are all so kind and pleasant from the moment you walk through the door.
I had brought in a family heirloom whose clasp had broken, and the herringbone style of the necklace was kinked in some places. The woman was kind as she explained that they could fix the clasp, but with this style of necklace it was often impossible to fix those pesky kinks.
They called me two days later to come back to pickup my necklace, and this is where they secured me as a loyal customer: not only did they not charge me to fix the broken clasp, but they also fixed the kinks as best they could and cleaned the necklace beautifully. The whole experience was wonderful, from start to finish, and I will be encouraging anyone who is looking to purchase jewelry or repair existing pieces to visit...
