Meijer is one of those rare big-box stores that truly delivers on being a one-stop shop without sacrificing quality, cleanliness, or customer service. From the moment you walk in, it’s clear the store is well-organized and maintained to a high standard—aisles are wide and uncluttered, shelves are stocked, and everything is easy to find whether you’re here for a quick grocery run or a full household restock.
The grocery section is excellent, with fresh produce that’s consistently crisp and flavorful, a wide variety of meats and seafood, and bakery items that rival specialty shops. Their organic and gluten-free selections are impressive, and the layout makes it easy to shop for specific dietary needs. Beyond groceries, Meijer’s home goods, clothing, electronics, seasonal décor, and garden sections are well-curated with competitive pricing that often beats specialty retailers.
What really sets Meijer apart is their balance between national brands and their own store brand, which often matches or exceeds the quality of name brands at a better price. Weekly sales, digital coupons, and MPerks rewards make it even more budget-friendly without feeling like you’re compromising.
The staff here consistently go above and beyond—whether it’s someone walking you directly to an item instead of just pointing, a cashier who takes the time to bag carefully, or employees in every department who are approachable and knowledgeable. The checkout process is fast, with plenty of lanes open during busy hours and well-maintained self-checkout options for speed.
Parking is abundant and well-lit, carts are always available, and the store feels safe and welcoming no matter the time of day. In short, Meijer makes errands easier, faster, and more pleasant while offering a huge selection at a great value. Whether you’re doing a big weekly haul, picking up a last-minute dinner ingredient, or browsing seasonal deals, Meijer consistently delivers a smooth and satisfying...
Read moreOpening day! The parking lot is a mad house and accidents just waiting to happen so be extra cautious and you should be fine. Store was clean, well stocked, employees throughout the store were polite, cheerful, helpful and kind. They seem to have about everything you might need. They do have some quality items that the other superstore (wally world) do not have. I love, love their extra wide isles! Prices seem to be on average higher than other local stores. But they also offer more deals in the way of buy one get one super, super cheap! I only have one complaint. The registers were all busy and I only had a few items to I went to the self check out. All went well until I went to scan a plant pot I was buying the upc sticker was on the inside so I looked for the hand scanner and they do not have one at the self registers. So I hit the help button...the green light above changed to flashing red. So I waited...and waited...looked around all over and waited...tried to cancel the request and just not buy the pot but no...one there were two women at the end huddled together who looked at me but ignored me. Finially I get the attention of a worker half way down the store by waving my arms in the air.(really! I never should have had to do this) anyway she hussles over and makes one attempt to try to help but it didn't work I told her to forget it I didn't want the pot any more. She said she could call for someone to bring the hand scanner again I said no I wasn't waiting any longer. So as im paying my bill the lady with the hand scanner shows up. (To late). Got my stuff and left. Over all it was an ok experience. Exspecially for its first day opening. But they need to have the hand held scanners at the self check out. To avoid what. Happened today. I'm glad they are here, they have helped to employ 300 local people and that is always...
Read moreThe store is getting worse in terms of stock and supply and my main complaint is about the deli. I am so grossed out and I hesitate coming to the deli here because of the safety practices they (do not) take when dealing with food. I literally watched the employee cross contaminate and then touch my food to the point I really didn't even want to take it from her but I did anyway with the idea of remembering what she touched with her gloves that she never changed. This employee first was at the hot counter serving someone and then walked over to me and never changed her gloves while asking what I needed, she had to open the cooler door, brought out a box (still in the same gloves), touched the trash can and then opened the sealed bag and put the chicken in the container, then shook off her hands in the air from the water from the chicken and proceed to pick it up and put it on the slicer...never put down a paper and caught the slices in her hand... in the gloves...that were never changed... I really wanted to walk away then but felt that might be a little rude. I have asked an employee to change gloves before because this is a problem I see at this deli constantly, more with the younger generation of employees and I myself AM in the younger generation but I just feel weird asking every time but the store needs to get this together,...
