Panera Bread — Restaurant in Marquette Township

Tried this Panera for the first time today. I asked the gal at the counter what comes on their apple salad - she proceeded to tell me most of the items. I ordered without tomato as I don't care for them. She did not mention blue cheese crumbles - something that I absolutely hate - which is why I asked what was on the salad in the first place. Salad came put- first off the chicken was cold. I am not fond of cold chicken on a salad. It should be warm. Second there was so much blue cheese on the salad I couldn't even push it aside. It was on EVERYTHING. The 2 things that were good on what i could eat of the salad were the apple chips and the piece of bread. It was super busy in there at 2 pm but no tables were being wiped or anything. I think they need more guidance when talking about menu items and they probably need more staff. I'm not writing them off completely, but it's going to be a while...

Food was ok...like any other typical fast food place. Too cafeteria style look..not comfortable with the seating. My main concern: all that long hair on the staff...and NOT being contained so it doesn't "whip about" when they work...I mean, even a clip would hold some of it in place...all I saw was baseball caps and everyone had a loose ponytail hanging ..or the braids down the shoulders in front...I'm talking LONG hair....how is that hygenic? Even I know to get the hair contained while prepping meals.. I do it at home with a clip... BTW: I sat there waiting for my food, watching one worker in the food prep area playing with another worker's super long braids, tossing them about and admiring them (must have been new extensions)...but seriously....Don't play with someone's hair in the prep area...needless to say.. I won't go back...sad. .I was really looking forward to a new food...

Terrible first time experience at Panera: First impression from entering is that they must be understaffed because the floors were filthy. We ordered two bread bowls and there was literally three spoons of cold soup in the bowl. Very dissatisfying since I asked how much soup was in the bowl and they told me it was equivalent of a large bowl of soup. Not even close at three spoons full. All our soups were cold and my friends chicken noodle soup was broth and no noodle or chicken in it. Also, the store was out of baguettes for the soups. I felt bad for the workers because they we’re working their but off and trying their best. I have to wonder where the owner of this franchise is for a new opening. I’m never going back there and I shared my experience with multiple friends. Spent $50 for a terrible experience and no food. CH...
