I had a similar experience to what Scotty K had. I am disappointed in my experience at this Dunham's Sports. If you're looking for a kayak, go somewhere else unless you know the exactly model you want.
I drove about an hour to this Dunham's Sports to check out kayaks. This Dunham's sports would not pull down any kayaks for me to sit in. I wanted to try out two different models to see how I fit in them. I was told that would scrap the kayak and they couldn't do that. I can't believe they don't have a furniture pad to lay down on the tile to bring the kayak down to let someone see how it feels.
The Dunham's sports in Wausau (which is great, by the way) let me pull down kayaks to sit in them. Unfortunately their stock was a bit thin after a sale so I decided to drive to Marshfield to check out a couple models I was interested in.
For reference I am 6'6'' and 280lbs. I am not spending several hundred to thousands of dollars on a kayak I can't try to fit my legs and feet into to see if I fit. I ended up driving to Fleet Farm in Marshfield after my stop here where I got great customer service. I bought a kayak and...

I'm tall with a sore lower back, knowing the pelican 100 won't work for me too well (already owned it) I was looking to upgrade. You lost a sale tonight because of this. He said it would get scratched. Then changed it to someone previously got hurt. ??? From a kayak crash in a store aisle?? I'm not understanding this one. Anyways, you lost my business.
I intend to let everyone know about...

They looked up at me and I smiled at them but they went back to what they were doing without acknowledging me. I stood there for another 10 seconds while they ignored me before I finally said "Well this is the friendliest store I've been in today." At that point one of them tossed down what he was holding, sighed, and said "return?" It was obvious that I was interrupting his work and was not welcome in the store at all. I travel to my hometown weekly, there's a Dunham's there where the employees are friendly and helpful. I see no need to ever set foot in the Marshfield...
