Kristine saved the day. My daughter-in-law knew exactly what she wanted in a wedding dress and in the fourth shop we visited she found what was very close. But not surprisingly the dress she tried on was not her size. So they ordered a dress that was much larger than her and altered it to be smaller .We should have just gone to Kristine for alterations to begin with but the dress showed up a lot sooner than we expected and we didn't know what to do . so we let the bridal shop do the alterations. That was a mistake. You would think they have all the experience with their dresses. On the last fitting on the week before the wedding, it was clear that they just weren't going to get it right. They basically took in the dress incorrectly. They made off the shoulder sleeves out of the hem which we did ask for, but they were placed incorrectly and we're very restrictive. They tried to fix it but it was clear they just we're going to get it right. After being in the bridal shop way longer than anybody would want to be, we agreed let's just get this dress home. The owner of the bridal shop wanted the dress out too. It was clear they got themselves in a jam. Thank goodness for Kristine. She was flexible to meet with us when we needed and she understood exactly what needed to be done. She has the tools and experience. On top of that she is just the sweetest person. I definitely recommend her. I only wish we had gone to her in the beginning. But even though she had to work with someone else's bad work, Kristine saved the day. Kristine is THE DRESS DOCTOR!! If you have ANY wedding alteration needs in the Matawan area- you can rest assure- Kristine is the one to go to! She not only saved my dress- she saved my mind!! We are having a 50th Anniversary party in 3 days, and I have always wanted to wear a "real" wedding dress. (My husband has never seen me in a ball gown!) So 5 months ago, I ordered a dress on line, and it arrived in a timely manner and was beautiful! BUT... I need to have sleeves. I didn't want a bolero, because the back of the dress is too pretty to cover up. I ordered sleeves on ETSY. Sigh... first set arrived looking like it was for a 10 year old- and getting a refund was a nightmare. I ordered another pair from a different vendor- took 4 months to get- they sent a bolero- that didn't fit.
