Maui Island Creations — Local services in Maui

I vacationed in Hawaii 2 months ago, visited Maui Island Creations, and bought a few souvenirs for the kids. The souvenirs were great but the lady at the front counter charged my card 4 times because the printer was out of paper. I told her that the transactions were going through but she kept doing it and said after that they would be canceled. As I thought, the transactions went through. I have been calling to contact the owners for a refund for the last 6 weeks, every time I get the same lady (who doesn't speak very good English) telling me to call back at [insert specified time] and every time I get this same lady again. The last few times she says she'll leave a note for them to call me but I haven't got a call yet.

ZERO STARS. Buyer beware! I visited this store today and was treated like a criminal for picking up soap to smell it. When confronted about said soap (mind you I was no longer in the store, I was in the breezeway waiting for the rest of my party) I was called a liar for taking photos in the store. None of this made since and I regret making any purchases. I probably will not wear the jewelry I bought since it will bring up such a crazy dramatic experience on my peaceful vacation. I’m a huge fan of shopping small but not of being treated like absolute trash....

Sales person accused of stealing a ring because they all weren’t “in the right spot”… as we had been looking and trying on all rings to find our sizes. Was planning to buy 4 rings but they didn’t have the right sizes. So we were buying 1- then she found the ring sitting on top. And said “oh here it is, sitting on top. RUDE”. My daughter bought the ring but now we regret giving this business any money at all and will NOT be back. Would give 0 stars if I could. ...
