BAD BUSINESS… It was an awful experience. A few weeks ago, my boyfriend had stopped in and saw a woman’s black leather riding coat On sale for $119. So a couple weeks go by and we go back up there (an hour drive from our home) with him and there it is on the rack with three different sized off the same black riding coat and the tag that says on sale for $119. So I tried on a couple sizes I wore around the store for a while trying to get a feel for which one would fit better. The whole time the sales associate was right there helping us. He knew that we had driven an hour away to come get the sale price. We go to check out and even though the hanger that the coat was on had the sale sign for $119 on it, The assistant manager comes up and says that the coat That was on sale was the brown coat and even though It was the black coats that were on display for sale he tells me I am out of luck. Not to mention, Once I looked around, there wasn’t even a brown coat in the store. I’ve worked retail before it is there responsibility every morning to make sure things are displayed correctly furthermore, to take down the sign if the for sale item is no longer in the store.I have never had a company treat me so unprofessional. It was their Responsibility to label the correct coat with the correct sales tag. Any other business that you go to and this occurs, They give you the sale price because they were the ones that mislabeled the merchandise. And it wasn’t even like it was a different coat and they Would’ve taken a horrible loss because of such a drastic price difference. It was just a different color and that Manager could’ve been a decent person, especially after seeing how excited I was and Knowing how far we had driven to get there and how much time we had spent picking out the right size because like I said, there was a whole row of them that had the sale sign on them. I also bought myself riding gloves and I bought my son elbow pad. I will never be shopping here again. If I wasn’t so angry, I would’ve returned the riding gloves and elbow pads that I got also, because I do not Believe in supporting businesses that treat their customers like this. I am still so upset about this. I have been planning to buy this coat for the season. I hope that someone reaches out to me and makes this right. If they do, I will be updating my review. As I’ve stated earlier, the Picture shows the tag that was hanging from the hanger inside of the coat along with three others were on a rack. I did not think to take a picture until I walked back in so the picture is taken once the man took the closeout sale tag off, but when it was attached to the hanger, it was hanging inside of the jacket so the only thing that you saw was close out built women’s jacket for sale for $119 with the four jackets...
Read moreThey offer the tire change service at this location, but I have found them to a hit or miss depending on the day/who's working if they will actually service your tire. No one mounts/balances tires for a better price, but they are not dependable. They put a new tire/tube on a 21” spoked rim off a 2005 harley xl1200c and got it back to me same day, but would not touch a 21” spoked rim off a KLR 650 stating they don't do dirt bike tires. On their website it states they mount offroad tires for less than the price of street tires, regardless, everyone knows a KLR 650 is a dual sport bike meant for street riding as well and the tire I brought to them (shinko 705 ordered from their website) is a street oriented tire. So either the website is incorrect or they simply did not want to help me with my KLR tire, and I am leaning towards the latter as i know they do 21” Harley rims from experience.
As of 08-18-2024: I took a rear tire to be mounted off of a 2014 Yamaha FZ09. They thankfully actually mounted the tire this time, BUT THEY DID NOT BALANCE IT. I brought it in with no wheel weights on it, they flew off during riding, so I know it was out of balance. When I pointed it out to the individual checking me out, he stated the guy who mounted the tire was out on lunch and could not confirm or deny if the tire had been balanced after mounting the new tire. Ended up taking it to an independent shop to verify, and I watched as they balanced it, and the wheel was 1/2 oz. out of balance.
Overall, I will personally never recommend anyone take their tires to cycle gear. I will never be bringing any of mine in anymore, that is for sure. Absolutely horrible service based on my experience, more than once across multiple bikes/tires and dealing with different employees...

Before purchasing the Dunlop tire for my Harley, I asked for 'spoke weights' to be used for the balancing since they are more appealing on a beautiful chrome spoked wheel. After receiving excuses about not having them in stock and having to wait, I said, "No problem, I'll wait."
When I delivered the wheel, the excuses about the weights began again. This time, it was because the tool to be used for the installation was broken, and "corporate" would not replace it, and only stick-on weights would be available. I said no stick-ons and remove the existing spoke weights.
When I picked up the wheel, I asked if they were able to put the spoke weights on because I saw two of them installed. I was told they were on the wheel when I dropped it off, but they couldn't remove them because their tool was broken.
I asked for a reduction on the invoice because I now have to take the wheel to a dealer. I was told the balancing was free and no discount was given.
I took the wheel to a local Harley dealer and had it balanced using spoke weights. I received excellent service without excuses and paid nearly $30 for the balancing and weights.
I will never again purchase tires from Cycle Gear. I'll go to the dealer and have the service performed professionally without excuses.
The people I dealt with at this location did not understand the value of a customer, and as a result of this experience, they...
