I called on 4/22/25 and placed a pick up order considering I was coming all the way from Lakewood. First I had to call twice because no one picked up the first time. Long story short I wanted a boil bag with shrimp 🍤 the guy asked half pound or pound? I then asked him HOW MUCH IS A POUND? He told me $15 for the lunch special. I said ok…. The price shocked me I asked him twice!
Once I get there I come in he had the worst attitude I have ever experienced in my life in a restaurant and yes I truly mean that. Taller male black with glasses 👓 that bitterly acts like a female yes I said what I said so that the OWNERS KNOW EXACTLY WHO IM TALKING ABOUT!
So first there was zero customers inside I wonder why? Also made me wonder why I had to call twice…
Took a minute for him to come out I said hello I placed a phone order he stared at the bag sitting on the counter for ever acted super confused I told him that’s my bag I see my name on it.
Then continued to ask me what I had multiple times when it was on the bag. Shrimp bag with the potatoes and corn it comes with and swapped out the eggs for another potato and corn… that was another issue I said this on the phone and when I came in he kept saying just a potato I had to repeat myself again and say I told you this on the phone if I can swap the two eggs for another potato and corn.
Anyways he has an attitude the whole time and seemed like he didn’t know what he was doing extremely confused. Then tells me the total which was $38 I said whoever o spoke to told me $15 for the lunch special mind you I called with attached screenshot at 3:20… he then starts to argue with me and tell me no I didn’t. I said wait a second don’t argue with me I don’t care about the price of this bag but when you tell me $15 on the phone and now that I came all the way from Lakewood in the middle of rush hour and your now adding more than double the price and giving me an attitude when I’m asking you where did you get $38 from $15 big issue. He had a horrible attitude and continued to argue with me about it I said listen I don’t know why your arguing with me when you told me $15 I asked you twice for the prices and you informed me that’s the lunch special over the phone but then now I’m here he continued to say that he did not. From this point on I’m going to start recording calls when I place orders over the phone just because of this guy. But I will never ever step foot in this place again. I don’t like to get people in trouble but this guy needs to go because he kept arguing with me and lying I told him you know what keep the bag and no not because of the price I went down the street to Juicy’s Seafood better vibe better customer service and there were multiple customers inside and better price too I spent $30 with vegetables added and a drink instead of $40 no attitude or disrespect included. Read moreI have ordered from them multiple times since they opened and the last 4 times my orders has been wrong (the food is amazing when you get the correct order that you paid for) yes my fault for thinking it will be okay. I called to ask about my incorrect order and got someone who started that they were the owner. She seemed to get flustered about my questions and me not understanding how all sauces are the same color and taste the same (huh) just taste a bit different. Sorry for not understand because it made no sense to me. My husband can't have any spice so that's why i called in my tongue should not be on fire from garlic butter with only dabbing my finger in it to taste it. She says i could come back and get order remade. I live to far about a (30 minute drive) so I said no worries its fine I live to far to come back. She says I'll give you an appetizer on me next time you come in. I just said okay thank you so much because we were getting nowhere, I wanted to get off the phone, and I know that's not going to happen because I'm still waiting on 6 eggs and 2 free appetizers from the last 3 orders they messed up and they keep saying they have no record of! As we get off the phone we look at my sister reciept and she's charged for crawfish (that they called after order was placed on line and said they didn't have any) why is she charged for crawfish if you didn't have any and non was in her bag. If that was the owner I spoke to (she said her name and I forgot it sorry) in my opinion she was not pleasant, her tone was not pleasant, and you can tell that her patients was extremely thin and it's sad to say because she seemed nice towards the end of the call. I do understand that working in the food industry is taxing because some people are just mean and aggressive but not everyone is like that. Now i will say she tried to change her attitude/tone towards the end of the call and i think it was because she noticed that i wasn't all irrate and being rude to her but the damage had already been done. I know we're only three people so it won't matter to them but needless to say I won't be going back any more and I have just said the money they got from me for incorrect orders is just at a lost. Read moreMy son arrived at 7:30 pm and was seated at 7:50 pm, it took 20 minutes for his waiter to come take their order, and fast forward to 9:00 pm my son still had not received his or his date's food (even after being told that the kitchen was on a 45 minute delay). I know that it was Valentine's Day, and it would be busy, but when they arrived, it wasn't busy! My son kept inquiring about their order, but the waiter kept blowing them off since they were teenagers. My husband and I were seated at the bar (we even ordered food and drinks, and our food arrived in a timely manner). We took notice of our son's frustration, and we intervened!! The waiter (Cruz) FORGOT to place my teenage son and his dates order, and was trying to make all types of excuses that I wasn't trying to hear! The owner was initially only offering a free salad, soup, or dessert for my son's table, but ultimately ended up taking money off his bill. Although the owner tried to make the situation better, I feel like something more could have been done. DON'T waste your time and find somewhere else to go, especially since STAFFING ISSUES are a problem! This was our son's first time out on a date, and it was nothing short of a disaster! Seafood boil restaurants are basically everywhere these days, so finding a better establishment will not be hard to find.
The owner stated that I failed to mention $74 in compensated free food?? She gave them $31.05 off the bill in addition to a free chicken salad ($8.99) and free cheesecake ($4.99), which totals $45.03. I'm curious about the other $28.97 I allegedly received. I have all the facts, and while I was patiently waiting for you to come speak with us about the issue, my husband made his own choice to speak with you himself. If in person dining and online orders cause you this much strain, then maybe you should consider in the future in person dining by reservation only, so you are possibly able to appropriately accommodate people.
