Just went here for the first time. Prices are very reasonable and they are very quick (I was a walk in and they did a pedicure and gel polish change in two hours.) That said the quality wasn't as good as what I'd hope for and the language barrier didn't help. I paid extra for the deluxe pedicure and my foot massage was practically non existent. My girl put lotion on me while my feet/calves were still wet so the lotion didn't really absorb (it just slid everywhere.) My feet still felt rough after. My gel polish change was next. The color I picked was empty so I had to pick another one. My girl had glasses and I think she had some issues with her eye sight bc there were things that I kept mentioning that she wasn't noticing. After two coats my polish looked muddy and see through. I asked her to put on another coat and explained why and she said it was bc I picked a light color that's why it looks that way. I realized she also didn't paint all of my nails like you can literally see in my pictures you can see bare nail where it looks like my nails have grown out and this is right after leaving. I asked her multiple times to,cover the whole nail and she starts talking about my cuticles and how I just got a polish change not a manicure. I explained that I,didn't have a problem with my cuticle I just wanted the nail to be fully painted. We did this three times and my nails are still not fully covered. I also had a very noticeable piece of black fuzz that was on my one nail that I pointed out to her and she literally didn't see it. I had to point it out multiple times. When you go to get your nails done you want them to be perfect and I just didn't feel like mine were. I was very direct but pleasant with my request and I felt like the technician I had simply didn't understand what I was saying. I'd be willing to go back and try this place again but I definitely feel like it's a coin toss with...
Read moreThe staff are nice, but some are differently motivated. My first visit, I had a female staff member who was friendly and did an amazing job and had attention to detail. She was interested in doing things correctly.
On the other hand - The male technician was motivated purely by customer turnover and doing things as quickly as possible. Not only did I have to repeat myself multiple times as to the service I was there to receive, he seemed irritated when I asked him to shorten my nails (rather than just removed the old polish and put on new polish). He used a nail file which normally would be ok, except my nails were particularly long when I went in; after I told him I would like them shorter, he seemed to get annoyed again, and once again, he skipped using clippers and went for the nail file. Then I had to point out the shape wasn't right, so there was exasperation at that, He even asked me what shape I wanted, which was repeated at least few times. All this was before we even got to the part where he paints my nails.
In order to save time, he used two UV lights which is fine, I didn't mind that, but he wasn't patient and never let the timer finish or allow time to make sure the gel polish had time to set before taking my hands out and continuing layering. LESS THAN A WEEK later, One of my nails tore. Overall, was not happy or impressed. Should I decide to return to give this place another chance, I will NOT allow the male technician touch me...
Read moreYes they are Great at doing nails however, I only gave four stars because they have horrible people skills. They barely talk to you that's the only thing I don't like about it, that's one of my favorite things about getting my nails done is getting to chat with a new person!! So more than likely that's a me problem, not a them problem LOL. Other than that, it's a pretty amazing place to go! It's very rare according to the hundreds of salons I've been to my whole life but, they can actually do just about anything you ask them to,and fortunately if you bring a picture it's pretty much exactly the same, I actually just broke my thumbnail two whole days after getting my most recent fill from them. It was my fault, it was not because they did my nails bad it was actually because I accidentally slammed it in a door and they only charged me $5 which included her just giving me a new gel top coat on all of them not just fixing it as well as they made sure they were able to get me in ASAP even though they were pretty booked up just to make me happy. The last salon I went to that was actually their fault they got messed up they didn't shape them right and they lifted one day later, at that salon they actually yelled at me when I told them they broke like it was my fault, instead of offering to fix it they just told me they were booked. So I would definitely recommend this USA Nails in Golden gate plaza over any...
