Chuck E. Cheese — Restaurant in Mayfield Heights

Went to this location for a relatives birthday. Our family waited in line for 30 minutes to have our order taken. I asked for another register to be opened and I was told they are not that busy to have another register to be opened, and the person in front of me messed up her order that’s why it was a long wait. I asked to speak with the manager. She promptly came out, but didn’t do anything to accommodate the wait time. She said due to COVID-19 they are only allowed to have one register open to help with social distancing. Waiting in line for 30 minutes did not help that situation because there was not enough room to be 6 feet apart. We were able to order our food and purchase play cards. The cashier was trying to be as helpful as he could be despite the circumstances. We waited over an hour for our pizza (mind you they weren’t that busy) and our pizza wasn’t hot. I went back to register because our wings were cold, and they looked like someone dumped a whole bottle of bbq sauce on them. The manager was rude by this point, but did give us back the money for wings. I tried to order another pizza, but was told the kitchen closed at 8pm. You would think that would be announced or posted so people would know since the store is open until 10pm. The bathroom was filthy! Urine on the floor! There wasn’t any toilet tissue in the stalls! We made the workers aware, and someone brought tissue in the bathroom by throwing the tissue on the dirty floor! My family spent at least $150 dollars in this place to have a horrible experience. Had their pizza not been on point I would have only given them one star. They were horribly understaffed, making the purchase of anything at least a 15 minute ordeal. There were approximately 7 machines that were just broke (no screen, error messages), a lot of machines that didn't work well (the merry go round barely turns, the moles on the whack a mole don't pop up), many machines that didn't pay tickets (I'm guessing they were empty), and my son had at least 5 tokens "eaten" by the machine (it's a card! how is this even possible). The four employees who worked there (lol if there were more, I guess they were all in the kitchen?) were all behind the counters & entrance, so there was no one to tell about the machines eating the money.

People were requesting refunds on their pizzas because there was a 50 minute wait. Yes, 50 minutes. My son was so hungry I bought him an ice cream bar while waiting for the food. I brought my son to the bathroom and a group of woman came in saying every 4 letter word in the book. Sounded like they were going to start fighting. I understand that this is not the fault of the establishment, but it's something to be considered when you are bringing young, impressionable children. I mean, when you walk in the first person you see is a security guard in full armor. That right there tells you what kind of place this is. If you are looking to have a great time with your young kids, then sure, go to chuck e-cheese, but go to North Olmsted or even Parma. Just don't go to Mayfield. We will NOT be returning. What a...

I was very hesitant to have a party at this location I have been here before and not only was it over crowded but there has been rude employees BUT there has been some major changes. The day before i reserved my party I recieved a courtesy call from a very friendly woman asking me if i needed to make any changes I was not expecting that. Then when i got there the manager himself came to greet me! And when i saw him or had any questions or concerns he was there to help. That was amazing!! Now let me get to our WONDERFUL hostess Genesis she was an amazing help anytime I started to look for something or needed help she was right there to help. When I say that girl went above and beyond her job she really did. She kept the party moving Thank you girl!!! Overall I would have to give you guys 5 stars that was the best chuck e cheese party I have been to and every thing was perfect from the food to the games. Not only am I going to recommend this chuck e cheese to anyone who is listening I will be returning next week and hope that we have an awesome time as we did today THANK YOU!!!

PS the trick is if you want to go make sure you go in the early afternoon to beat the rush!!!! Not only is staff nicer there...
