I can not believe Macys does not care about his customers. On Monday 19th June I made an online purchase to pick up at the store to save me time. I received two emails the same day later that said my order was ready. I arrived in Macys at 8:40 p.m. And went to the counter closest to the product I had bought, @Too Faced makeup, on arrival I was ignored by the ladies about 10 minutes one of them was talking to a friend and the other was trying to do a sale. When the one who was working finally took care of me she sent me by my order to an office on the second floor that had been removed from months before. When I came back with her and asked her again for my order she told me that she did not know about pickup orders and called Belinda the manager. Belinda, the manager of Macys La Plaza Mall, was extremely rude to me, discriminated against me and denied my order. At first she told me that my order did not exist even though I showed her my emails. When I told her that I was going to dial customer service she told me that she could give me my order if the product of Too Faced was in existence but then she told me that she could not give it to me because she could not accept my passport as ID. Even if in the email that they sent me said that I needed a photo ID to be able to pick up my order. It was more than obvious that she did not want to help me so I talked to customer service. I explain everything to Kevin, the person who answered my call, he asked me to go back to the store and ask to speak with the manager. Unfortunately, the only person in charge was Belinda. Kevin talked to Belinda and the only thing Kevin could tell me was to came back another day because this person, Belinda, did not want to help me and to write an email, which I did and sent detailing everything that happened. But, before I finished talking to Kevin, Belinda was asking me to give her 5 minutes and to accompany her by my order to better the situation. I accompanied her to a warehouse where she took out a bag with a ticket. So all the time she do had my order and she could give it to me but she simply wanted to treat me wrong. For the same reason I left the store because it was too many rudeness from Belinda. While walking to the exit I heard that she asked me twice to go back the checkout nearest by the speaker. So it was not enough all the rudeness and discrimination. She also made me feel very embarrassed with the customers in the store. I left the store humiliated, without my order and obviously without my money.
I sent the mail telling in detail everything that happened the same day. Zaira Chequer, assistant store manager, answered me two days later, on Wednesday, asking me to speak to me on the phone or to answer the email. I called her and never answered so I answered the email and she also didn't answer. I have been asking for my refund all week and to this day, 9 days after, I have not...
Read moreI've been using Macy's app to order online during the pandemic, but we wanted some new towels and need to actually feel them, so we went to the actual store. Found the towel section and some towels we wanted, but it turns out they have a larger selection online, so we used the app to order instead (and also saw a great deal we didn't see in the store), but now we know we'll like the texture and weight of the towels when they come.
But next to the towel section were some bathroom rugs which reminded me mine is getting a little shabby after a few decades. I found one I liked but I wanted a larger size. I thought they might have one in their bedding section. So I went over there, didn't see rugs, so I asked the cashiers if they carried rugs there. The younger one asked the older one who promptly said no. As I was walking away, I passed a rack of hanging — you guessed it! — rugs. I could easily see both cashiers from the rack. I found the size I wanted, saw it was 40% off and took it to the check out. The cashier showed no surprise, embarrassment, or chagrin when I brought up the rug they said they didn't have. She rang up $70, but I told her it was on sale. She told me sometimes things get put on the wrong rack. I told her that whole rack is the same brand, there are many other rugs exactly the same there, and they're marked at 40% off. She said it wasn't ringing up that way and seemed to be waiting for me to pay. I said never mind, I'll buy it online. So she said let me check. She went to ask the first clerk who said there were no rugs to begin with. I went to photograph the tag and sale sign. Finally she gave me the correct price. Again, no embarrassment, not even a perfunctory apology for the mistakes or poor service.
You'd think with lower traffic, the workers would have time to actually know their own inventory and treat in person customers as though their business were valuable. I'm not likely to shop...
