DO NOT visit on a Sunday!! If you are looking for confections they have zero! Only a few brownies and cheesecake. We drove over 2 hours to visit this location...what a disappointment! The young lady up front wasn't very customer service friendly! Young girl and older woman kept saying we are out we only make them on Monday then let them run out...maybe make a little more for the folks who travel to visit the location or put note on website to come earlier in the week if you want any confectionery items. Very disappointment with this visit and we will NEVER visit again!

We had a great experience at Happy Bear Ice Cream! The service was friendly and welcoming from the moment we walked in. The ice cream was delicious with a good variety of flavors to choose from—definitely something for everyone. The atmosphere was awesome—fun, cozy, and perfect for families or just hanging out with friends. We’ll definitely be coming back!

Happy Bear Ice Cream was a life saver today as the sun was blazing around 85F outside and we were in the mood for some ice cream. Surprisingly, Happy Bear had great and unique choices and flavors. I got Coffee mixed with cookies and cream and Brown Butter Bourbon flavors. The prices are good and the place was clean.

Happy Bear Ice Cream was a life saver today as the sun was blazing around 85F outside and we were in the mood for some ice cream. Surprisingly, Happy Bear had great and unique choices and flavors. I got Coffee mixed with cookies and cream and Brown Butter Bourbon flavors. The prices are good and the place was clean.

Stopped in last Saturday after the train, one girl at counter who left; one couple in front of us ordered next. The girl behind the counter was slow and inattentive. My wife moved up to order and the girl that left came back and the girl behind the counter took her before my wife. She acted like she didn’t know what she wanted and she and the girl behind the counter shot the breeze for at least 15 minutes. The girl behind the counter went in the back once with no explanation. My finally got her order. Never again. How do they make any money...

When I came to blue ridge, about a week ago, I was expecting bare minimum. Layla, this girl I had met who served me ice cream took the time to really get to know me in such a short 5 minutes. You can tell as a young woman, she takes pride even if it’s at an ice cream shop. The extra effort she put, it was astonishing, she could tell I was indecisive about my decision and helped me along the way. Kept casual conversation like where I’m from, how do I like the blue ridge experience. She really made me feel like a human being, and not like a statistic having to be made. I know wherever Layla will be she will be a huge boost for business with her characteristics, truly...

Only reason I’m giving 2 stars instead of one is because the ice cream was really good. Customer service, the worst I’ve had while visiting here. We visited Sunday afternoon 8/18. The heavy set girl with black hair and glasses was working the counter. She didn’t know the difference between a milkshake and a sundae... and she works at an ice cream shop. Then she has an attitude when I ask for a refund when I was overcharged for the milkshake when I actually ordered the sundae.

Overall good ice cream. But the one employee clearly needs more training to learn the different types of ice cream, and more training on...
