We came here straight from our Church; and we have seen this place in 121, when they were still building it. There was a wait of 20mins, but it was not really that bad. We got sat down and our server, Hailey, was on top of it. She recommended a full size option for a kid menu our son wanted and that really helped a lot, being that it was off menu. We, the parents ordered, and although they ran out of the seasonal drink I wanted in the beginning, Hailey came right back and offered alternatives. I have to say though, our food did not come promptly and once they figured that out, Hailey and their GM, Alicia, were on top of it and within minutes our food came out fresh. We ordered the chicken and waffle, el fuego omelette and short stack banana pancakes. They were all excellent! The chicken was seasoned perfectly and was juicy. The el fuego was flavorful and so compact! The banana pancakes did not just have bananas on top, they were in the pancakes! And because of the inconvenience of us getting out food later than expected, Alicia the GM came and talked to us and explained what happened, without making excuses, and covered our bill for us that day! That is very uncommon nowadays when most they will do for you now for YOUR inconvenience is a discount or a gift check for your next visit. We really did appreciate everyone’s concern and promptness once a problem was discovered, and how they jumped into solving it right away and making us feel heard. Good job to this Sunday brunch team today for going above and beyond! Definitely will be coming back and hopefully...
Read moreI was really disappointed with my experience at Broken Yolk Cafe. I came for the first time today with my in-laws, who had been here before and loved it, but unfortunately, our visit didn’t live up to their past experiences.
We arrived at 10:20 AM and put our name on the waitlist. The host told us it would be about 15 minutes and took down our name and number. Since the place was busy, we waited patiently. However, by 11:00 AM, we still hadn’t been seated, and we noticed that a large party that arrived after us was seated before us. When we politely asked the host for an update, we were told that we had removed our name from the list via text—something we never did or received a message about. Why would we remove ourselves and then continue waiting?
After clearing up the misunderstanding, we were finally seated after waiting over 40 minutes. But the delays didn’t end there. We sat with our menus for another 15 minutes without being acknowledged. Eventually, a woman—who we assumed was the manager—came over and asked how we were doing. We explained that no one had taken our drink or food orders yet, and she quickly got someone to help us.
As for the food, it was just okay. Nothing terrible, but definitely not worth the wait or the hype from all the great reviews. Overall, I left feeling really let down. Service plays a huge role in the dining experience, and this visit just didn’t meet expectations.
I’d love to try it out again since we enjoy supporting local businesses and franchises, but I really hope they take this as an opportunity to fix...
Read moreFirst time dining here and I left feeling a bit underwhelmed. It was busy, but I used the check-in online option and the wait wasn't long at all. The server was polite and attentive and the food arrived fairly quickly considering how busy they were.
I ordered the Mile High omelet with a side of home fries and an English muffin with an iced tea. The omelet was good with a fair amount of ingredients. The homes fries weren't your typical home fries, but were good. Just wish there was a little more. The English muffin was good sized and reminded me of the Thomas brand.
For me, the price of the iced tea at $4.25 was way overpriced. Almost all other breakfast places I dine at are almost half that price. The food prices also seemed to be on the high side. I dine out for breakfast every Sunday and have hit so many great places for $10-$12 less for meals for two. I don't mind paying extra if the food is spectacular, but this was not the case. Don't get me wrong, the food was good and well-prepared, but it wasn't anything special for the increased cost.
Parking isn't the greatest here. If it's busy, you'll be hard pressed to find a parking spot that is close to the restaurant.
The inside/decor of the restaurant was nice and it was a big place with plenty of seating. Our server was great and checked on us the right amount and always made sure our drinks were refilled.
All in all, good food, but overpriced and not somewhere I would go back to with all the other better options out there that I...
